"As we stumble along on life's funny journey. As we stumble along into the blue. We look here and we look there. Seeking answers anywhere. Never sure of where to turn or what to do."
Eddie was not in a good mood. He had just been told by Dumbledore that he wasn't allowed to go home for his scheduled weekend because of finals coming up. This upset Eddie a lot. He always highly looked forward to his time at home. He loved spending time with Mac and his two adorable little kids. He felt so horribly guilt. He didn't want to leave Mac alone as a single mother, but he really didn't have much of a choice. He had to finish school if he wanted to be able to get a good job to help support them. But... he felt like he was so distant from his kids and his fiance.
He was dragging, working his way down to the Hufflepuff Common Room, a bag slung over his shoulder. He had gotten all packed and was ready to go, and when he got up there and Dumbledore told him he couldn't go. Eddie nearly flipped on the elderly man. He needed to go home, he needed to see his kids.
He was dragging through the entrance hall, down the steps from the Headmaster's Office. Sigh. He really did look down in the dumps, which was a look that didn't suit Edgar very much. He hated this, he hated life right now. And no, he wasn't being emo, he really did hate everything going on right now. This whole stupid war, the whole Death Eater thing, his kids having to grow up in this horribly dark time.
It depressed him. He wanted to go home and make sure they were safe. It scared him, being so far away from them when he didn't know that they were even alive. Sometimes his mind turned to morbid thoughts because how could they not, especially in such dark and dreadful times.
He didn't even see Serenity when he nearly ran into her.
