JC’S REVENGE

JC’s Revenge plays some pretty good Indie Rock that has a similar radio-friendly sound as something like Grandaddy, Go Nuts, or even Weezer, but mixed in is their own catchy flavor. “Another Way” is most definitely my favorite song out of the four displayed tracks; they just glide through it with flawless melody, and I love the chorus. In the next song, “Black and Blue”, it has a more Pop-Rock feel to it. I’m not really big on the style they play at all, but I can tell they have it down pretty well; it's just very precise and almost original sounding. The vocals are a problem though; while I like most of the singing, the high parts seem to go off-key a lot of the times, so he’ll need to work on that. And really, other then a better production, that’s all that needs improvement with these guys. Creativity is pretty hard to come by in Indie Rock, but they do a pretty good job of getting past that. Do yourself a favor and go check 'em out! Rating: 60/100

I like that name JC's Revenge. And I'll have to take a listen sometime.
