The tw_classic LJ comm and TWU are planning a S1 and 2 rewatch. The hope is for a rewatch combined with perhaps some writing prompts and recs based around each episode.

I'm going to keep the poll open a couple more days as there's a tie between watch as soon as possible and wait until after MD has finished in the UK.

It's looking like a Saturday for the day, so I'm thinking either the 3rd September if people go with soon as possible or the 17th September which is the first Saturday after MD has finished in the UK.

The results of the re-watch poll are now in (after leaving the poll open for a few extra days because there had been a tie)

The re-watch is going to start on the first Saturday after TW: MD finishes on the BBC, 17th September.

So the plan is to start at 9pm (UK time) Saturday 17th September.

I was thinking that since we're going to have discussion threads both at tw-classic and here (I think that was what was decided any way) that perhaps the discussion thread on tw-classic could be kept as one that's CoE and MD free, with TWU being a free for all.

I know that some people will want to discuss how information in those series relates to the classic series, how it changes our view of certain scenes etc, but I also know that there are other people who want to take part in the re-watch who might not end up not doing so if the discussion part of it end up full of CoE and MD related information.

That sounds like a good plan to me. I'll also use the prompt thread for prompts here, should folks be interested.

This is going to be awesome fun if lots of people play along :)

My ONLY regret (and I'm not going to get a lot of sympathy when I say this) is that I will be in Switzerland when "Cyberwoman" comes up.
