Title: BLITEOTW
Description: June 13th and it's the Zombie Apocalypse

thaddeusfavour - June 7, 2009 01:03 AM (GMT)
Hey! It would be fun if we all rocked Torchwood with some version of the Zombie Apocalypse this year. I'm planning on posting again. Anyone else?

My Post On The Subject

We need to spread the word too. I'm not sure it's as organized this year as it was previously.

kel_reiley - June 7, 2009 03:20 AM (GMT)
DON'T TEASE ME WITH ZOMBIES!!!

lawsontl - June 8, 2009 08:02 AM (GMT)
I hope the sock puppets play along!

I have a sneaking suspicion that several of them are around here reading this anyhow :)

racheline - June 8, 2009 09:50 AM (GMT)
I went to a Jazz Age picnic yesterday and they were shooting a zombie movie on the same island so we wound up with signs that said "Welcome Zombies" and "1920s Zombie Jamboree" and "Zombie Temperance Society" and "Abstain from Brains". eventually the Zombies crashed our dancefloor and watching the fabulous bandleader welcome the "zombies, bathing beauties and tiny tots" to the event was most hilarious.

kel_reiley - June 8, 2009 02:18 PM (GMT)
i am jealous of you!
damn, i want to make a zombie movie so bad

HanuuEshe - June 8, 2009 10:01 PM (GMT)
That explains Suzie.

lawsontl - June 9, 2009 02:29 AM (GMT)
I'm still catching up on my flist, PLEASE Racheline, tell me there are some zombies in your jazz age pictures you posted? Because that's even cooler than "Pride, Prejudice and Zombies."

I wanna do this, this year. :) I just have no idea if I have the time. Maybe.

Great shots, looks like a lot of fun was had with the undead.

WOT? ZOMBIE TORCHWOOD? WHY YES, PLEASE.

How do I do this? Who do I kill? Do I post somewhere?

....My basement is full of buckshot and MREs. BRING IT.

You think I'm joking, too. When my husband died, I inherited his many many boxes of ammo. Anyone need shotgun shells or 9mm rounds? Possibly Winchester brand .556 for a Saiga 12 or Kel-Tec m16?

::cocks gun:: I come prepared.

lawsontl - June 9, 2009 07:11 PM (GMT)
Actually, I was hoping you weren't joking. Though you can keep the MREs for, you know, atmosphere. Guns and ammo, however? Nom.

Buying a shotgun in the next few weeks (suppose I should be prepared before the 13th, eh?), will let you know what I get so we can arrange an illicit transfer of ammo or something then use it as experience for a fic.

Dude...we could write zombie pronz. But first, I have to help plan a baby shower. Talk about studies in contrast.

Not mine, but the girl's who usually cosplays Ianto to my Jack.

Oooh, thanks! *giggling* I wish I had friends who were more into period dress and costuming. Best I can haul out of this crowd is Halloween parties, and even then I get "Hi, I came as 'Drunken Redneck', hand me a beer to complete my costume!"

You ever want that illicit transport (nudge nudge), I'm good for it.

Also, the 13th is awful close. If I wrote zombie Torchwood, it would be EPIC. I don't think I could do it in under 60K.

RIGHT?

I WOULD.

Incidentally, I'm finishing a Harry Potter crossover with 28 Days Later that I've been working on since 2003. I'll have zombies on the brain for a few months to come.

Maybe I'll even do research.

Oh. Oh it's happening. I can feel it in my bones. Or my invisible cock. Or wait. No. That's indigestion.

Everyone is evil and must be destroyed.

I think Torchwood should be the source of the zombiepocalypse. Like, Owen defrosts the wrong thing, and the next thing you know, zombie Myfanwy is flying out of the invisible lift and starts it all.

smirnoff mule - June 9, 2009 10:01 PM (GMT)
I'm so going to be absent from the internet on that day :o

kel_reiley - June 9, 2009 10:50 PM (GMT)
aww...
::pets your lil zombie-phobic self::

hmm... would i subject myself to harry potter just for zombies? would i? i think i might

smirnoff mule - June 9, 2009 10:59 PM (GMT)
 Last year I spent a short while warring with myself over quite how crazy and irrational it would be to start shrieking at people to OMG LJ-CUT YOUR FUCKING ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE PLZ. And then I discovered the oft-rumoured but never before discovered off-switch on my computer. It seemed a better solution.

Also, re Harry Potter, you just reminded me - there's going to be inferi in this latest movie, aren't there? Ho-hum.

smirnoff mule - June 9, 2009 11:15 PM (GMT)
Inferi. Dead ppl. I'm okay as long as they stay in the lake.

kel_reiley - June 9, 2009 11:16 PM (GMT)
why are there dead ppl in harry potter? other than those ghosts that seem to have no purpose or story

smirnoff mule - June 9, 2009 11:19 PM (GMT)
Have you not read HBP? I shall be shutting up forthwith in that case.

Except to tell you that inferi are dead bodies reanimated by dark magic.

lawsontl - June 9, 2009 11:52 PM (GMT)
Kel hasn't read HBP? I'm so divorcing you!

Amand-r - June 10, 2009 12:17 AM (GMT)
OH INFERI, HOW YOU JOSSED THIS FIC LEIK WOAH. BUT I IGNORE YOUR LAME ASSES.

thaddeusfavour - June 10, 2009 12:59 AM (GMT)
It's easy. On the 13th, post as if you're seeing the zombie apocalypse occur around you. (Don't worry about international date stuff. Post on the 13th wherever you are.)

Now, for Torchwood, what I did last year was actually wrote a quick fic that had Ianto posting for BLITEOTW and suggesting - in his blog - that they throw Jack to the zombies in order to get away, then come back for him with better fire power. Jack saw the blog, and posted his own really bad porn about him and Ianto trapped by zombies.

I'm planning to write another quickie in which Jack and Ianto are kind of watching each other all day, trying to make sure they post when the other isn't watching, or something like that.

It's a bit late to coordinate, but if anyone wants to do something else, I'm game. I'll even coordinate. I just don't have an idea yet.

um......
........................

yeah, my sister read all the HP books and one day whilst at her house i skimmed the beginning of the first one and then slid it back onto the shelf with a 'no thanks'

i've seen the films, though... (but i might have slept through the first one - i was on a train SHUT UP!)

You're not missing much on that one.

Santousha - June 10, 2009 11:00 AM (GMT)
I've read the HP books but never got into the fandom. I stopped being into the movies after being massively disappointed in the last book.
I still can't stand to look at anything HP-related.

KnitChick - June 14, 2009 08:21 AM (GMT)
passing out on the laptop here but I just had to say that the zombie apocalypse did happen here in Chicago :) We spotted a bunch of them when doing pics on Michigan Avenue. In fact, right after the bridal party left the median so the bride & groom could get a few shots alone, one of the best men came in where we'd escaped for a bathroom break showing off a picture of the bride & groom surrounded by zombies! Then I spotted a couple other zombies and got my pic with them (it's on my cousin's camera so I don't have it yet).

So despite being at a wedding all day (and I do mean all flippin' day, I been up since 6 am) I still kinda participated :D

I go sleep sleep now.

kel_reiley - June 14, 2009 07:33 PM (GMT)
best. wedding. EVER.
