So, I was going over my flist on LJ, and someone mentioned these new Harry Potter movie posters that just came out, as seen here, and I'm kind of frightened by them. They're all so menacing and airbrushed!

So, clearly, I had to come and share. Because even if you're not a big HP fan, everyone is at least aware of its existence, and probably have read at least some of the books/seen some of the movies.

I, however, cannot look at Daniel Radcliffe without thinking about how SHORT he is. Seeing him in person has completely destroyed all mental images of him. And it wasn't destroyed by seeing him naked, it was from standing four feet away from him at the stage door. I mean, I'm big and tall, so maybe it was a comparative thing? But he's tiny!

I love how they try to make Ron look all badass. Uh, no.

These pics kind of look like the image on the BBC Torchwood site. Look, Snape and Gwen are in the same pose!

I've noticed this lately: that a lot of producers seem to have decided that darker=better. (See: Stargate Universe Trailer And... it really doesn't. I mean, take a look at Dollhouse. :P

I can understand making the posters dark, because the later Harry Potter books are pretty dark. But airbrushing =/= dark to me.
