lol.....Don't even get me started.....Here's the truth: The Devil is really the nice one, and God is evil and mean....think it through.... The Devil and his minions lose the war in heaven, so they're cast out, right?....Well, who do you think writes the book on that deal....God, of course....Show me a time when the vanquished ever write the history books.... So, as I was saying....God is now telling the story, but he's got to spin it, right?...It's not like he can let human civilization learn that he's really a prick, so they make up this whole thing about the Devil and his forces being evil....The only problem God has is the Bible, because anyone with half a brain can tell by reading the first 200 pages who the REAL bad guy is in that story, right?..... And how does God spin this?...."If you don't listen and believe every word I say, you'll be punished, you will rot in hell, and you will go to bed without your supper.....Now cary on with the whole killing-each-other-in-my-name thing....." That's interesting, actually.
The trilogy that I'm almost done reading is set in the dark ages in europe just after the plague. This guy is sent on a mission by Michael to rid the world of demons, but they tell him that the "demons" are really the children of the angels after the angels have forced themselves on various women. So now he has to decide if he believes the angels or the demons. But yeah, there's revisionist history in every other book in the world, why not the bible? I don't know my cat is always unhappy and whinny. Our dog seems to be pretty happy most of the time. Then again cat's don't have to follow as many rules, but they're also less likely to break most of 'em because they're to busy lounging in the sun to do things. Hmmm. -------------------- |
