so, you got a pretty face?

model claim: Blake Lively
hair color: Blonde. Blonde blonde blonde! That is definitely the first thing that you notice about Sinead. Her hair is golden blonde, long, and has a slight wave to it. Not only is it blonde beyond all belief, but it's long - falling to her mid back. It's cut into long layers, a little shorter towards her face. Usually she wears it down, but when she's working or too lazy to really do anything to it, which is often, she pulls it back into a bun or pony tail. Her hair is often messy and wind blown, revealing her rather care free nature. But when she dresses up, those blonde locks are definitely a show stopper.
eye color: Baby, baby blues. Her bright blue eyes shine out from long dark blonde eyelashes. They're crystalline, and if you stare too close at them there seem to be darker blue designs, like flowers, in her eyes. Although Sinead often tries to hide her emotions, her eyes always deceive her happiness, or sadness as it were. When she's angry they seem to darken, and with her joy they sparkle. When she's sleep deprived, as most students are, those bright blue eyes are surrounded by dark circles. But once those are covered up, her eyes seem much brighter.
height: 5 feet 10 inches
weight: 137 lbs
scars and blemishes? a scar on her hip from playing with her brother
other distinguishing marks: a beauty mark on her right shoulder blade
skin tone: creamy white
Overall appearance: tHer face is rather small. Her face is framed by her long blonde hair. Her eyebrows are, not surprisingly, dark blonde just like her eyelashes. Her complexion is fair, a little pale, and Sinead often wishes she had a bit more colour. Her cheeks are a little pink, but she has to help that along with a little make up. Her nose is small and pointed, and leads to her bright pink lips. She's got an average size mouth, with pink lips that are almost always stretched into a smile. She's got bright white teeth.

Sinead is very, very tall. Strikingly tall. With two tall parents, it only made sense that she would be tall. But five feet and ten inches sure is a good height for a girl. She almost never wears heels, for fear of being taller than most boys in her year. She's not stick thin, but she's not overweight. She's normal... just an average sized girl - well aside from the striking height. She's not exactly curvy either. She's got a bit of a bust, like most girls do, but her figure isn't the hourglass shape that tabloids tend to epitomize.

Sinead's got a happy, light voice. It's not high pitched, but not sultry and low either. When she's really excited, or angry, her voice gets slightly higher pitched. And when she's upset her voice falls into a very hushed whisper which is almost impossible to hear. And she sings. Not well, really, but she sings. Perhaps it's her love of music that drives Sinead to sing as much as she does. She can carry a tune well enough but she doesn't have the power or loudness in her voice to do anything professional with it.

When she was growing up in Belfast her mother took charge in dressing Sinead. She was just a little girl, so the staple outfit for young Sinead were cute dresses, stockings, and patent leather shoes. As Sinead grew up she began to develop her own sense of fashion. One of the things that she took interest in was muggle fashion. By age seven she was buying muggle fashion magazines, cutting out the pictures and pasting them all over her bedroom mirror. What started as just a young girl's entertainment turned into an actual passion. Unfortunately for Sinead, she's forced into wearing her Hogwarts uniform. But that doesn't mean she doesn't accent it with her own personal style. Having taken many trips into Muggle London, Sinead has a collection of scarves, shoes, and jewelry that would make any fashionista jealous. If her accent wasn't enough to make her stand out, her added style to the regular Hogwarts uniform does.

When she goes to Hogsmeade is an entirely different story. Sinead doesn't exactly have the monetary funds to buy the highest fashion brands, but she does well enough. She likes to dress up, even if it's just to hang out in town. She wears jeans and nice tops, or skirts with funky leggings and heels. Her long blonde hair is usually down around her face. Occasionally she'll put it in braids or up in a high pony tail. She has a collection of colourful headbands and barrettes that she likes to use to accent the golden blonde strands. Sinead isn't vain, but she does like dressing up. Perhaps its her girly nature, or because of her half muggle blood that she's so interested in muggle fashion - whatever the reason, Sinead likes putting together nice outfits.

i wish i knew you.

five words that describe your character: determined, sensitive, caring, stubborn, enthusiastic
likes: getting good grades, cats, coffee, her bicycle, granola, boys, hanging with her friends, reading, talking, family, being barefoot, music
dislikes: milk, yogurt, snow, missing her family, being underestimated, doing poorly in class, people who take things for granted, judgemental people, shoes, flying, sports
strengths: headstrong, independent, caring, kind, funny.
weaknesses: stubborn, sensitive, seamus (she can't help it, he's her big brother!) bends over backwards for people, very emotional
fears: Losing Seamus. It sounds really sappy and all, but she can't help it. Seamus has always been her big brother, her protector. Sinead always knows that she can tell him anything, and the thought of losing him is scary. Losing any of her family members would be one of her fears, but because Seamus and Sinead are only a year apart they always were close and Sinead depends on him as a confidant. It'd be like losing a limb.
best memory: Sinead's best memory is from when she was three years old. Both of her grandparents had died - that certainly wasn't what made it the best memory! the death of a three year olds grandparents is anything but happy - and they were still in Ireland. Sinead was toddling around on her teeny three year old legs, just sort of wandering around the gardens and what not, and she had found a birdfeeder. It was surrounded by humming birds. It was very peaceful and Sinead liked just being around nature.
worst memory: When Sinead was fourteen Harry Potter had just told the world that Voldemort had returned. Back at home, they were all brain washed by corrupt daily prophet articles. Sinead knew that the prophet was wrong and she believed Harry - but she didn't want to out right argue with her parents and siblings, so she kept her mouth shut. Until one night she got into a fight with her mum when the two were alone together, the night before she went back to Hogwarts. She and her mum didn't make up for months, and were just civil to each other. At the same time, she was hiding the fight from Seamus, but always afraid of it getting out. She managed to finally make up with her mum, but still hasn't told Seamus about it.
accomplishments: Does surviving the teenage years count? Other than that, joining the DA with her brother.
Pet Peeves: When people mispronounce her name, drumming fingernails when they're bored or impatient.
goals: To become an auror. The only thing that Sinead wants to do is do good.
Hobbies/ Quirks: Studying. What on earth makes that a hobby? Well Sinead is smart, smart enough to do well enough in her classes. But well enough isn't good enough to be an auror. As such, Sinead takes studying very seriously. Aside from studying she loves music.
personality summary: Studying. What on earth makes that a hobby? Well Sinead is smart, smart enough to do well enough in her classes. But well enough isn't good enough to be an auror. As such, Sinead takes studying very seriously. Aside from studying she loves music.
personality summary: If you look up unique in the dictionary, you'd most likely see a picture of Sinead. She's exrtemely creative, and she's always revealing this quality in her very sarcastic sense of humor and in the way she expresses herself. Her favourite thing to do is draw and design. Perhaps it's her interest in fashion that inspired her to draw and design so much, but she loves to create her own clothes and outfits. She also likes to sing, but lets not bank on that too much. Her voice, though sweet enough, isn't powerful or trained enough for her to be a real singer. Besides, she likes fashion more.

When she talks she uses her hands, and isn't afraid to laugh loudly. Her laugh is very distinctive - it's not high pitched and giggly like most girls, but instead it's a gentle and captivating sound. She often quirks her eyebrows, especially when reproaching her brother for something stupid he's done. She tends to stay out of people's business. She doesn't like being told what to do, and she believes that it's not her place to tell others what to do... except for Seamus. He is her brother, after all. She likes to listen to people, but not if they're complaining about something and refuse to do anything about it.

Sinead speaks her mind, even when she's not being asked her opinion. Although it's hard to tell if she's being serious or just being sarcastic. She can sometimes come off a being rude. Her ways of expressing herself are often her sarcastic quips or direct blunt comments. She's not exactly rude, but that filter between brain and mouth is definitely faulty. Her desire to express her opinions about things, especially when she feels there is an injustice, overrides all sense of social tact and politeness. She has such strong convictions about things that she can get carried away in her opinions. It takes a lot of perseverance to get through to her sometimes. That's her stubborn side. It doesn't help her when she comes into contact with authority figures that tell her what to do without rhyme or reason. Her stubborn and 'speak before you think' manner gets her into trouble with some professors. Her mother didn't expect the mild mannered child that she raised in Belfast to turn into a fiery bundle of energy.

However, when it comes to her own needs and feelings, she has a harder time expressing herself. Because she doesn't like to ask for help, she'll clam up when something in her own life is going wrong - but she loves to listen to others, especially her brother. Sinead likes being independent, so when something goes wrong - although it's generally easy to tell by the changes in her mood - she doesn't tell anyone, even Seamus. She prefers to handle things on her own, even if it causes her a lot of stress. She can handle herself well enough. Eventually, if she gets to a breaking point, she'll go to Seamus for help.

Although she speaks her mind, she's also known as being rough around the edges. She has a barrier that she keeps up. Sure, it's an attractive barrier... smart, witty, sarcastic, and headstrong, but it's a barrier none the less. Sometimes it makes her seem uncaring and insensitive but that is the exact opposite of the case. In fact, Sinead is quite sensitive and she can be hurt quickly - she just won't show it. She has a hard time relating to a lot of people, and as such she doesn't have too many close friends - with the exception of her best friend. When she's mad, though, beware. Even when she tries to hide her emotions, they can be revealed in changes in her mannerisms and demeanor. It reveals itself in her face. For a girl who's normally a ray of sunshine, her face falls inexplicably, and she has a hard time making the sarcastic jokes that she's normally full of.

Sinead is very strong willed when it comes to things that make her angry. She tends to lose her temper quickly because of all her pent up stress, but instead of getting really angry she just seems to get incredibly snarky and sarcastic. Eventually she lets things go, but she doesn't really ever forget. Sinead refuses to talk to anyone about her problems, and is known to lock herself in her room and sit on the bed with her hands over her ears and her eyes closed until the feelings of discontentment and extreme anxiety disappear. She doesn't get angry easily, though. Sinead has a very high anger tolerance, and likes to believe that people are inherently good. Her optimistic and rather sunny nature prevent her from seeing the glass as half empty. It's a real positive part of her personality, but sometimes it stops her from seeing when something bad is going on. Because she likes to believe in the good in everyone, she often gets side winded when people do mean things. She expects everyone to treat her the way she treats them, and when she doesn't receive the same amount of kindness she gets hurt.

She loves being in hufflepuff. She's dependable and sweet natured, unless you get her angry, and she really believes she was placed in the right house. Sinead isn't the most laid back of the hufflepuffs, but she knows how to go with the flow. She considers herself to be a good friend because she's a pretty good listener.

background check.

parents: Rosalie and George Finnigan
siblings: Seamus Finnigan
other family: aunts and uncles on both sides
bloodline: half
history summary: It was a steamy, humid day in August when Sinead was born. Rosalie was more than thrilled to be getting a baby girl. But Sinead wasn't your typical baby girl. She took to her older brother quite well. She was a very calm baby, who was drawn to nature. Even as an infant her parents could barely keep her inside. She much preferred to wander around the gardens of her grandparents' home in Belfast than stay inside with two dying elderly people - then again who could blame her? She also took to her older brother very well. Sinead, from the moment she was born, looked up to Seamus. The two were peas in a pod. Siblings, so close in age, would usually fight. But the two got along quite well and except for the regular things - like "mam Sinead stole my toy!" and the like - the two rarely ever got on each other's nerves.

Two years after her birth both of her grandparents' passed away. Sinead doesn't remember most of that time as she was just an infant at the time, but she can still remember the smell of her grandparents' house, the Irish country side... she was glad to be there for another year, even though the mood in the house was so depressing. After her third birthday, the family moved back to Liverpool.

The transition from the Irish country side to the town of Liverpool was quite the shock for Sinead. She was used to being able to wander about, even as a small child, but here she was on a tighter leash. Sienad would play outside their house and watch Seamus fly around on his broomstick. Sinead was never really that interested in flying. She had a toy broom of her own, and she could zoom about on it as well as any other witch could, but she was never as fond of the experience as Seamus was. Instead, she liked to read. Her mother was afraid that Sinead wasn't developing enough as her own person. She was, after all, sort of growing up in Seamus' shadow. The girl was still rather quiet, rather shy, and would prefer to sit outside alone with a book than interact with others.

So she was placed in day care. Yes, day care, with other kids in the town who's parents were too busy to look after them, or who, like Sinead, wanted a bit more socialization for their children. And lucky for Sinead, because at day care she actually did begin to develop her own personality. Her inner people-person nature finally came out and began to shine. She was only in day care for a year, but what a wonderful year it was. She made some good friends and, by the time she was eight, had a solid group of friends that she spent time with. She became more of a talker, too.

So her life was pretty uneventful. But we all know that the young years of a witch are never totally uneventful. She was nine, and she was walking their dog around town, when a muggle boy that she knew from around the area approached her. The two were walking together, talking, you know doing the whole being a kid thing. The boy she was talking to began to make fun of a friend of Sinead's, a with that lived across the street. He said she was creepy and went on and on about it, even after Sinead had asked him to stop. But we all also know that eight year old boys aren't exactly kings of social decorum, and he didn't stop making fun of her until the street lamp above them shattered sending glass cascading downwards. Both children escaped unharmed, bar a few minor cuts. Sinead was upset that she couldn't control her magic, but she was also glad it had happened because at least it had shut him up. This moment marked a very clear turn in her personality. Sinead was no longer the quiet, shy girl with the book (but she still liked to read!) but instead she was forthcoming and stood up for her and her friends.

When she was ten, Seamus received his letter. She was happy, albeit a little jealous, and wasn't ready by any means to be an only child for a year. Yes, Seamus still existed and all, but with him gone most of the year, all of the focus was on her. Sinead didn't exactly like that. So at age ten she began to spend more time out of the house. Luckily, she received her letter to Hogwarts a month before her eleventh birthday. So she was off to Hogwarts! Sorted into Hufflepuff house.

Her fourth year was rather eventful. It was the year after the Tri Wizard Tournament and Harry had come out and said Voldemort was back. Her whole family believed that Harry was lying, but Sinead didn't exactly agree with them. Between fighting with her mom, and trying to hide that fight from her brother, Sinead was having a hell of a time holding it all together. She managed, and by the time her mom came to her senses - along with Seamus - everything got easier again. She had joined the DA, and is now convinced she wants to be an auror. She's got the grades to do it, thankfully, and is a hard enough worker to do it to.

the end.

QUOTE
A girl in a pair of faded gold skinny jeans, green suede cowboy boots, and a mix of layers including a baby blue bowie tee, a green and white polka dot tank top and a yellow and white plaid long sleeve shirt approached the stage cautiously. She had long brown curls which bounced as she walked, her wild blue eyes encircled in brown eyeliner, with streaks of pearl white eye shadow sparkling in the light of the concert hall. The show was about to start, and Astra was twirling and un-twirling her hair around her fingers, which had been painted bright red and were studded with rings. The heat of the crowd was stifling, and was only lifted when the band stepped out on stage and Astra's eyes lit up.

Her goal, her conquest, was the vocalist/guitarist. He was blond, thin, strung out, and beautiful. Astra also always got what she wanted; she was a force of nature. Well known in the groupie ring as a singer-gone-groupie, Astra had attended many of these shows, but this was her first venture to the front. Mostly she hung back to actually enjoy their music. This time she was prepared.

As he stepped to the microphone, his guitar hanging off his thin frame, the audience cheered. Astra remained quiet, waiting patiently for the music. She swooned on her feet to her own beat, and then as the drums and bass took over her, she felt her body moving to their sound. She remained stable on her feet, despite the bodies around her thrashing uncontrollably.  She was tall, and with the boots on she was five feet and eight inches, and her head was higher than any of the other girls in the crowd.

The vocalist peered at the audience through streaks of blonde hair, watching as they thrashed and blurred into one mass of bodies and sweat and hair. But above them he spotted a head of curly brown hair that seemed to sway differently, against the grain. She was a groupie looking girl that didn't follow his every move with her eyes. Her eyes opened and revealed passion that the lids had been covering. She caught his gaze and her small pink lips pulled into a smile. Astra knew that he was smiling at her, despite the girls around her who started screaming. She watched as he slid to his knees, the mic in one hand, his guitar falling against his hips. Astra stepped forward, putting her lips dangerously close to his; only to sing into the microphone. Her voice was melodic and smooth, yet loud and filled with verve.

Almost there! I want to accept you, but you need to flesh poor Sinead out! What does she like to wear at Hogsmeade? Is there anything special she does with her hair? Does it look different in the sun? When it's wet? As for her personality, does she anger easily? Is she laid back? Will she pick a fight? Is she iritable, if so, how do you get her there? Is she focused in class, or easily confused? Also, show her Hufflepuff colors! Is she a good friend? A loyal one? A dependable one? Is she a bitch? Does she like being in Hufflepuff? Does she hate when people rant at her, or is she cool with it? How is she creative? Does she draw, or sing, or paint, or what? Does she enjoy doing people's hair? Does she believe in god? What are her worst qualities? Is she disrespectful? To teachers? To other Adults?

Pretty much, I want a more in-depth look at her, y'know? :]
