Lady Ackland,
Your very kind invitation is accepted with pleasure by myself, my husband and our daughter.
Yours affectionately,
Lady Anthea.

After a moment's consideration Lady Anthea underlined the 'Lady' in her sign off. Twice. It would not do for people to go forgetting her loftier connections.

OOC: Katie has a gaggle of older siblings - Jack, Andrew (married) and Augusta. Would Augusta be invited too? Or perhaps Lady Ackland has only met Katie? (don't want to screw up seating...) Or Augusta can be otherwise engaged/taken ill smile.gif

My Lord and Lady Ackland,
I would be pleased to accept your invitation.
I remain
Yours &c.
Lord Hawksley

It seemed a bit brief, but it was to the point and entirely proper, which suited Victor, anyway.

----

Dear Lord & Lady Ackland,
I would be honoured to attend on the 25th and thank you for your very kind invitation.
Sincerely,
Stephen Brydges

Whistling a jaunty tune, Stephen signed his name as a rather undignified, if striking scrawl, which certainly gave the impression of the individual behind the name.

Ally flipped through the invitations she was handed, sitting across from her husband in the Library. "I say, Darcy, do have a glance at this, Lord and Lady Ackland are having a dinner party." She said, tossing the invitation over.

Viscount Tessington smiled, "Weren't the two of you quite chatty when she first came to town with Ackland?"

"We were- excuse me, I would have you know Perdie and I are still great friends." Ally said with click of her tongue. "We are still chatty."

The Viscount smirked. The whole world knew Ally flitted more about town than anyone. "Then by all means, reply to say we will attend. I should like to meet Ackland again."

Standing, Ally went to her own writing desk and pulled out a piece of scented paper, dipping her pen and pausing slightly before replying.
    Dearest Perdie,

Nothing wrong with using a nickname, was there.
Darcy and I would love to attend. We shall see you on the 25th.
    Hope all is well, A

"And I've heard Claudia has been invited as well. I should love to see her again." Ally said, sealing the reply off and ringing for a maid. At this, her husband did not reply. It was past the point of his interest.

Dear Lord & Lady Ackland,

I would like to thank you and cordially accept the gracious invitation into your home. I look forward to meeting Miss Gardiner.

Sincerely,
Mr. Weatherbie

After signing it Landon sat staring at the letter for some time trying to discern what was and was not right and proper. Finally, deciding that if something was off there was no help for it he sent it to the house in question.

Dearest Poppy,

It is too long since we last saw each other in Bath. You can have no notion how glad I am that you are also in London this season. As for your dinner party, I should be delighted to attend.

Your very dearest friend,
Selina

Lady Ackland-

Your kind attention to myself and my sister is most gratifying. We should be very happy to accept the invitation.
