[OCC:I hope that you dont mind me intruding upon you but im trying to get more experiance RPing as a man ] This morning after waking up and going to search for his sister, Archie discovered that he was being faced with a rather serious problem: his favorite black gloves were tore. So setting off for Bond street Archie was faced with the rather impossible problem of trying to find a new pair of black gloves the day before the ball at Almacks. Everything seemed well until ,as expected, the search proved to be fruitless as every store he visited seemed to be out of all colors except for yellow and to his surprise a fine gray pair. So setting his mind on having to wear gray instead of the black that he normally wore at such events, Archie went walking down bond street in search of his way back home. Archie was almost out of bond street when all of the sudden something caught his eye. A pearl necklace and earring set sat gleaming at him from the window of a women’s accessory shop. With Marie's brown hair and complexion those pearls would make her appear very handsome indeed. He thought stoping to contemplate his decision. So crossing the street Archie entered the store at a fast pace and collided with one of two gentlemen standing just inside the door. "Pardon me gentlemen," Archie said stepping aside and quickly glancing at each of them hoping that they would not be to angry.

Oh God.... They had been introduced; the gentleman knew his name.... Ben's mind whirled. He couldn't very well say, "Ahh, yes, if it isn't Sir I Haven't the Foggiest Actually! What a delight to see you again!"
Lord Lancaster's musical evening? It had featured selections from The Beggar's Opera, works by Charles Dibdin, and new pieces for the pianoforte. The singers--Mr. Edmund Norman, baritone, and Miss Louisa Young, soprano, had earned considerable acclaim among the attendees. Although Ben recalled meeting a number of individuals through Mr. Stapleton, their identities all ran together. Why was it that Ben could recite the monarchs of England from Alfred to George III, major composers since the 15th century, and classical philosophers, and yet had no head for the names of his fellow, living Londoners? What good would it do him, save for a trick at a party, to rattle off prominent Roman statesmen, not excepting Caligula's horse? Ab...Ber...Co...Dig.... He raced through the alphabet, straining every brain cell in an effort to match a name, a syllable, a sound, a letter to the face. In the meanwhile, he forced a smile.
"Why, so he did!" Ben bluffed. "I trust you are well, sir? I have not had the pleasure of attending one of Lord Lancaster's fetes for some months now."
The shopkeeper, meanwhile, had slumped his eager shoulders and retreated to a corner to catalogue new stock, keeping one eye trained on his two customers to attend to their every (eventual) need. He was not long to wait, for a third man burst suddenly through the door, careless of the conversation or welfare of those who had preceded him. An apology immediately followed, but Ben, who recovered but slowly from surprises, could only offer a wave of the hand to indicate that no harm had been done.

"If he has had any since that one, I was certainly not aware of it," Clarence said. "I believe he rarely has more than two in a season." And now, if Hutchinson was not planning to make his purchase after all, perhaps he might himself... The thought was interrupted by the abrupt entrance of another young man. Clarence reached out without thinking about it--Hutchinson looked like the veriest breeze would knock him over, let alone a hasty, hearty person like this. He nodded, eyebrows raised in disapproval at the new arrival's inconsiderate behavior, but accepting the apology. After all, it was not /he/ who had been bumped into. If Hutchinson cared to object, he would do so. Two people outside, three inside--and only one of them a lady! The situation was swiftly becoming a farce. "I hope you are not fond of coral," he said drily to the hasty young man.

Archibald bowed again towards the man he had almost ran into and hastily turned to the man who had just spoken. "No sir I cannot say that I am fond of coral especially on my younger sister. I am in fact very fond of that pearl necklace sitting in the window," he said jerking his head slightly towards the beautiful pearl necklace sitting in the window.
Turning back to the man he had almost knocked over Archie grimaced slightly. "Im sorry sir ,that I was not watching where I was going but I often find that I walk through the world in a great hurry."

Ben, by this time, had found his voice, but did not repeat aloud the rejoinder that sprang to mind--"I am astonished to hear that you walk through the world at all."
"It is of no consequence," he assured the man instead. On the contrary, it was of very great consequence, as it had spared him further embarrassment in his conversation with Sir Haven't the Foggiest. Ben was certain that any self-respecting member of London society would have been aware of the limited nature of Lord Lancaster's musical evenings. Back, however, to the situation at hand. "I hope you are, likewise, uninjured Mr...?" began Ben, for politeness's sake, as he already knew the answer. This fellow's name, however, he was determined to learn and remember. With luck, Ben would not be put in a position of having to introduce his two companions to one another. Perhaps, he ventured to hope, the shopkeeper might even address his current client by name, and then Ben could bid him farewell properly and greet him again without trepidation.

[[OCC: Someone really should give me lessons on how to introduce my character because I have not idea...]]
"Archibald Edwards Marquees of Eddington ,or, for short Lord Edden," Archibald offered to the man relieved that he had not hurt anyone. He really did need to start looking where he was going before he actually did seriously injure someone which, given the fact that he wasn’t the smallest man, he was certain to do at one time or another.
"But where are my manners I should have asked you that after I so rudely interrupted your conversation with...ah...what may I ask is your name sir?" He said turning to the other gentlemen standing near the shopkeeper.

"Forgive me, Haworth," offered Ben, with very genuine embarrassment, "I believe it should have fallen to me to make your introductions, as you were known to me already."
He twisted the brim of his hat absent-mindedly. "If there are not two necklaces of the type we desire, sir, I hope you will consider the one in the window to be yours. I will make another selection for my sister."
In truth, Ben was loath to give up the necklace. Although there must be other shops in Bond Street carrying similar merchandise, time was short. The bank beckoned him as the minutes ticked away. Had he been in the market for a watch or a pair of gloves for himself, the situation would have been different. But it was Sukey's happiness in question, not his own. A bit early yet to despair, chided a voice at the back of his head. Eying the shopkeeper, he tried to convince himself that surely--surely!--such items did not arrive in a shipment of one.

Archibald donned a very amused smile and flashed it towards the younger man. "I wasn’t aware that there was more than one doting brother in the streets of London. I too am here to buy something for my younger sister," Archie chuckled a little, happy that he wasn’t the only one to buy somewhat extravagant gifts for his sister.
The knowledge of why the younger man made Archie rather curious about Haworth. What he here for? Did he to have a little sister who enjoyed accessories or was this gift for a lover? "And you sir? What are your intentions with the coral necklace in the window?"
