BACKGROUND
Caroline was born to a family of title but little wealth as their predecessors had squandered this away on this and that. Although not the most observant child Caroline did not notice this until she went to her eldest brother's wedding when she was 11. She had always believed in the show of wealth her family put on. However, seeing her home in comparison to true wealth and splendor she could not help recognizing her family was not all it pretended to be. This was the first time the imperative really pressed on her to marry well.

Caroline was raised as the ever dutiful daughter and sibling happy to do almost anything her parents or elder siblings asked of her. This usually resulted in her watching her elder siblings’ children whenever they needed someone to foist them off on for a little peace and quiet. As such she became very good with children and is most adept at settling squabbles with poise and grace. She also managed to avoid some of the personality pitfalls which might be expected as the youngest of six children of a baronet: mainly being spoiled, whiny, and expecting everything her way.

Everything she learned about being a lady she learned from her governess and then her older sister. As a result she is very adept at French and has a decent grasp of mathematics, history, and geography. Whatever interested her she read more about and is full of thrilling tales of adventure and far off places which she employs most skillfully in distracting children.

As she greatly adores her aunt and wishes to grow up to be very much like her Caroline has tried to talk her aunt into rounding out her education as a lady. She has so far exceeded at charcoals and penmanship. Her instrumentation at the harp, however, is somewhat lacking although she will persist in plucking at it. That is if her aunt ever lets her near it...

Most recently her family has sent her to London for the hopes that she might marry well and restore the family fortune. She debuted in Bath where it was very awkward for her considering her age but she made the best of it. This year that problem has been compounded by another year. Still with a fortune of £10,000, being the daughter of a baron, and her connections through her sisters to Baron Parkhurt and a second son of a viscount as enticements to marriage she hopes her age will not present too much of an obstacle even (if she is three or four years older than most of the girls on the marriage market right now).

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Caroline has slightly messy (when not properly coiffed), curly blond hair that runs down to the middle of her back when loose (although it is properly usually up or more often covered with a bonnet). Her eyes are dark and kind and betray her every emotion, even when she wishes they would not. Her stature is about 5’2” and her figure is soft although rather small. This gives her a delicate appearance which does not always hold up under closer inspection. Her preferences have always been for soft blues and grays or delicate floral patterns, however, like any true debutante she will be in white this season.

PERSONALITY
Caroline has a love of life and is genuinely a happy person-- particularly now that she is London and afforded the town's excitements thanks to the generosity of her aunt and her family. That being said, at her age she knows she must marry well and quickly lest she not get the chance at all. An anxiety which is very real considering almost all of her friends in Brookham Green are married and expecting if they do not have little ones running around already. Not to mention that she already had no way of paying back her family, let alone her aunt who hosted her debut in Bath as well as this season in London.

She is very outgoing enjoying social functions where she can mingle with others of the same mind. She has the annoying habits of treating people the age they act and standing up for whoever is not present in the conversation. Though she would never intentionally embarrass her family in any way or jeopardize her marriage prospects, it came quite naturally to her to react instinctively to how others were behaving. This means if two debutantes were to try and pick a quarrel in front of her she might try and step in and diffuse the situation as she might between any of her nieces and nephews. The same would go for, say, if someone came to her crying or distressed she would comfort them as if they were a small child. As for defending whoever is not in the conversation, she latched onto the idea of 'love thy neighbor as thyself' at a very young age and having a genuinely good opinion of humanity cannot understand when others do not share this viewpoint. Though she would not dare to openly contradict anyone, particularly someone of higher status, she might try and point out the person's redeeming qualities or that there might be another side to the story... so to speak...

Apart from being well suited to her age group she also does well with children and will make a wonderful mother some day. Although she does have the undignified habit of letting her nephews and nieces hang on her, this time with the children has kept her youthful and full of life.
