Name: Lady Anne Meridon Bromley
Nickname: George
Age: 34
Date of Birth: The 3rd Day of April, 1777
Title: Viscountess
Address: Lady Newburry
Face: Emma Thompson

FAMILY
Husband: Richard Andrew Bromley, The Viscount Newburry - Born 1765, Deceased 1804
Father: Daniel Edward Howard, The Earl of Suffolk - Born 1734, Deceased
Mother: Elizabeth Anne Howard (nee Damer) - Born 1745, Deceased
Sister: Lady Beatrice Elizabeth Howard - Born 1775, Still Living. Unmarried.

BACKGROUND
Viscountess Anne Bromley was born Anne Meridon Brixton of Bath. Her mother had been a fine artist before her and her father was The Earl of Suffolk.

She was constantly surrounded by love and creativity which has now inspired her current line of work. At the age of 18 she wed Viscount Richard Bromley who, though wealthy and titled, was quite a dull man. It had been a marriage of convenience and Richard was kind to Anne in the beginning. He had money to support Anne's work and she in turn looked pretty on his arm. There was no real love between the two. Eventually, Richard began abusing Anne. He was caught in a dark, troubled confusion with his love for one of his business partners that would go unfulfilled and it enraged him. He began taking it out on Anne physically and mentally. However the pair remained married for 9 years.

In the spring. in the middle of the debutante season, Richard did the socially unthinkable. He commited suicide leaving Anne in a very bad position.

Though it did not effect her financially, Anne fell instantly from the Ton's good graces. She had at one point been a great hostess with dinners and soirees at her home almost every week, but that had ceased almost immediately after the incident.

Many tales began to spread about the Viscountess. It was said that the sculptress favored members of her own sex romantically and that she lead an active sapphic lifestyle - driving her husband (an alleged sodomist) to his early grave. It had of course not been proven but most members of the Ton held on to the article published years past in the Tatler and still accuse her of it today.

Because of Anne's talent and popularity with her sculpting she has been often requested to the finer events and homes for tea, but she still finds it hard to bring about the courage to go. She now lives quite alone with her faithful servants and very dear lady's maid Lucille. Also at her home lives her pug dog "Gertie" who she is inseparable from.

Anne is an Academicians (a distinguished member of the Royal Academy) for her sculpting and is famous for being one of the very best sculptors in Europe.

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
She stands at an average height with a very slender form. Her features are softly angled. She has very fine bones, a slim nose and her skin is strikingly pale, with very little pigmentation. Her hair, a honey blond, is always neatly groomed in carefully pinned curls. Her eyes are a crystal blue color and her lips look as if they've been stained a soft rose.

She is always dressed in exquisitely tailored gowns when outside of her humble abode, and upon her head rests the finest yet modest hats of the current season.

When sculpting inside she would be seen most interestingly in trousers and other men's garments. It allows her the flexibility she needs when climbing and descending ladders around her work. She does not wear ready-made men's clothes because they don't fit her slender female figure. Instead, Anne has all of her tail coats and men's garments tailored specifically for her.

PERSONALITY
Anne is very passionate about life, love and creativity. She carries herself with grace and dignity as any wife to a proper Lord would. She is also extremely caring and somewhat outspoken when it comes to some of her stronger convictions.

Though once a glittering darling of society, Anne has returned to her once shy self. She often feels completely embarassed when out in public places. Anne is acutely aware of what others think of her, though she pretends of course not to notice the harsh stares or whispered words against her.

Most of her time is spent engrossed in her sculpture and occasional paintings. This work of hers has been featured in museums and the homes of some of the finest people of the upper class. She can become very withdrawn when she's working on her projects and often forgets even the simplest daily routines, like eating.

She is a loyal friend and careful confidant and would never knowingly breech any trust. She is an internal thinker and is an intense observer in social situations.

Anne's Staff
*This list may grow as more of her staff are revealed*

Gerard Herrington - Butler.
He is the one that greets people at the door and is in charge of the staff at Beaconsfell. He is quite taller than average, thin with usually a somber but kind expression. He is in his forties and has grey hair with a little white near his temples.

Edward Wurther - Groom.
Edward drives Anne's carriage around London and he is staffed at her country home during the off season. He is also an older gentleman, in his forties but quite short for an average man and a little bit plump. He always has a smile at the ready and a certain twinkle in his eye. He has greying hair and a moustache.

Lucille Aberdene - Lady's Maid.
She is slender with dull red hair, groomed back away from her face and usually tucked beneath a small maid's hat. She is soft spoken and quiet in front of guests but with the servants she is a cheery and proud girl. Her paler face is literred with freckles and she has green eyes. She speaks with a distinctly scottish accent. She is roughly twenty years old.

CURRENT RELATIONSHIPS

~ FAMILY ~

Beatrice Howard: Anne's sister. Anne has great respect for her sister and appreciates her sister's watchful eye, but sometimes grows tired of the 'mothering'. She and Bea are entirely different personalities but they are close friends.

~ FRIENDS ~

~ ACQUAINTANCES ~

Katherine Steele, Countess of Carrington: Anne has much more in common with Katherine then either of them realize. She really likes the woman and also has a certain soft-spot for her predicament. She has offered to render Katherine's likeness in marble as well and was glad that she accepted.

Julianne Grafton: Anne hasn't had an opportunity to get to know Lady Julianne. She doesn't believe they would have much in common.

Charity Pritchard: Though she and Charity are very different, Anne can't help but like Charity. The girl is refreshing and inviting and while shopping one afternoon, showed a wicked side as well. Anne appreciates her very much.

Elise Hampton: Anne really took to Elise when they met. Her love of art really impressed Anne and she would love to help the young lady's creativity along.

Clarence Haworth, Baron: Anne hasn't much opinion on the man, other then the knowledge that he is Lady Louth's husband.

Georgiana Haworth, Baroness: She finds Georgiana to be very pleasant at social functions and she has enjoyed conversations with her.

~ LOVE INTERESTS ~

Blake Pritchard, Marquess of Emerson: Anne in short form, fell very much in lust with the Marquess. She finds him handsome and kind and he seemed to remind her of what she missed when she married the Viscount. She still remains very enamored with the Marquess but she will never tell him for they seem to have retained a friendship out of the feelings that society would never have allowed.

Lilias Aldridge, Duchess of Brixton:
Anne's friendship with Lilias was the strongest one of her life. Lilias was someone to lean on when things weren't going well for her and she ended up being her saving grace throughout her marriage. Their friendship slowly passed beyond society's normal guidelines for appropriate female companions and once society got word of its possibility - they were drawn up in the Tatler. Lilias was in a position to be above reproach and to save her name and her husband's she retracted completely from her friendship with Anne.
