"It has been the same to me..." Oscar spoke quietly after hearing Lilias' words about the day they had spent together. He had felt himself at great ease in her presence, and that meant a great deal to him who rarely felt this way in the company of anyone but loneliness. However, the disadvantage - if such a word was correct for this occasion - was that whenever one was in the best company, time seemed to pass by more quickly, as if Nature desired to keep balance.

"I should be the one thanking you for your company, your grace," he replied once they were standing on the pavement, "I will be looking forward to our next meeting." He wished he had had enough courage to take her hand and hold it in his for a few tender moments while it rested over his own, yet as it was he seemed to lack the courage. Smiling softly, he bowed his head: "I had not realized how much I have missed..." he paused, reconsidering what he was about to say. A simple 'you' had been his initial intention, but he feared it might come out as somewhat impolite and forward, so instead he added: "my friends."

Having fixed his gaze upon Lilias' blue eyes for a couple of seconds, Oscar bid her farewell and returned to his carriage with a heavy heart but another collection of fond memories.

((OOC: Thanks, Crystal-lee! It has been a wonderful thread! biggrin.gif ))
