Your Name: Rose Age: 20 E-mail: See Viola Where'd You Find Us: Already joined ____________________ Name: George Hackett Nickname (if applicable): N/A Age: 26 Date of Birth: 4th April 1785 Title: Lord (Viscount)
FAMILY Father: George Hackett, Earl of Morven (b. 1750)
Mother: Elinor Hackett, Countess of Morven 1760-1789 Son: Silvio Selwyn Dell'Angelo (b. 1808) Ex-mistress: Patrizia Dell'Angelo (b. 1783) Sister: Augusta Harpole (b. 1780), Duchess of Leicester Nieces and nephews: James (b. 1801), Henrietta (b. 1803), Georgiana (b. 1807), Augustus (b. 1809)
BACKGROUND George never particularly got on with his father who was a harsh task master and his mother died when he was very young. He went to school at Eton and then read Classics at Cambridge. Following his degree he proceeded on a Grand Tour like many other rich young men, supposedly for a year. He went through France, Germany, Austria-Hungary and Greece, picking up artistic treasures on the way, before sailing to Italy.
It was here that his plan went awry, when he fell in love with Florentine opera singer Patrizia Dell'Angelo and she with him. Ignoring his father's disapproval, he rented a villa outside Florence and stayed with Patrizia for four years, during which time she bore him a son. His father does not know about Silvio and George very much hopes it remains that way. However, he always knew that this situation was temporary and in the beginning of 1811 he was summoned home due to the ill health of his father. Breaking up with Patrizia was hard but necessary and they both understood this. He stills sends her enough money to care for their son.
Now back in England, George is dividing his time between catching up in London and staying with his father at Morven in Dorset. Now that the season has started he can get down to his main objective now that he has returned to England: find a suitable woman to become the next Countess of Morven.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION George has always been handsome, in the tall and dark way that makes women swoon without him even needing to crack a smile. This is fortunate because George rarely smiles except among his close acquaintance. When he does, it is a small smile that covers for anything from slight amusement to happiness. When he is really and truly happy he will laugh and it completely changes his demeanor. His eyes are dark brown and mostly serious, though very observant. His body is trim without being skinny.
PERSONALITY Unlike most sons who do not get along with their fathers, George has not rebelled by becoming unstable and irresponsible. He has always been a paradigm of responsibilty, weighing the options fully before committing himself to anything with cautious and fair reasoning. Even his one moment of real indiscretion, remaining in Italy with Patrizia, was fully thought through, practically and financially, before he finally decided.
His caution manifests itself in a very reserved nature. Though he never aims to be rude, he is sometimes thought cold because of his lack of wit and openness. When he is sure of being able to trust someone, or he likes them, he is an interesting and eloquent man with a passion for travel, Italy and art.
George is nevertheless ruled more by his heart than he himself realises. His decisions are fair and logical, but inspired by a desire to do the right thing and a certain degree of empathy with the more emotionally connected. He thinks that his passion for the firey and very much alive Patrizia was a one off anomaly, but it could easily happen again.

Relationships
Family Hackett, George (not-in-game): George does not have a close relationship with his father. Now old, ill and dying, George makes sure he does his duty by his father, though without much pleasure in it. Harpole, Augusta (NPC): George does not get along very well with his older sister who disapproves of his travels and lack of snobbishness. However, he endures her for family's sake and his nieces and nephews whom he loves.
Friends Dalrymple, Arthur (Vikki): A friend from Cambridge classics days. Only met once since he returned from Italy, but they still get on. Fotherington, Hugo (Vikki): Childhood friends. Not as close as to Mark, but still they got on. Fotherington, Mark (Shar): Good friends from childhood. Shared the common onus of being “heirs”. Haworth, Clarence (Shar): Doesn't know him too well, but whenever they meet they seem to get on. Sterne, Thomas (Aida): Met in Italy. Likes him well enough but worried that he might reveal what he knows of George's life with Patrizia.
Acquaintances Edgeworth, Cassandra (Francesca): Danced with her- a rather strained one. They don't really have much to say to each other. Fairmont, Marcus (Alexandra): Met at White's. Fitzgerald, Viola (Rose): Met a couple of times. Thinks she's too shrewish and so doesn't have anything to say to her. Gosling, Nicholas (Alexandra): Met at White's. Howard, Beatrice (Chrystal-Lee): Admires her as an actress and is willing to be friendly with her. A little wary that she might be interested in more than that with him. Hutchinson, Benjamin (Amy): His banker. Nevertheless, seems a well educated man. Surprised to see him in Almack's but prepared to meet him without condescension. Middleton, Jane (Aida): Disliked her husband intensely but she seems all right. Pritchard, Gabriel (Lin): Met at White's. Rathbone, Imogen (Vikki): Danced with her. Thinks her sensible and intelligent. Is very sorry for her condition, but would be happy to pursue the acquaintance. Rossington, Daniel (Izzie): Met at White's. Steele, Katherine (Liz): Danced with her. Thought she seemed all right.
Love interest Dell' Angelo, Patrizia (not-in-game): Ex-mistress. Very much in love with her and lived together in Italy for four years. They have a son. Fairmont, Rosalind (Alexandra): Enjoyed a conversation with her at Almack's. Thinks her attractive and intelligent. Will put her on the list. Grafton, Julianne (Liz): Definitely a potential wife. Beautiful, titled, wealthy and agreeable. Her naïve attempts to appear worldly amuse George. He is not currently in love with her. Hutchinson, Susannah (Amy): Took an immediate liking to the girl. Obviously not a suitable wife, but can't help liking her. Landon, Juliet (Izzie): Demure, agreeable and pretty. Another potential wife. Pritchard, Charity (Lin): Another potential wife. She is interested in travel which is always agreeable and is pleasant and lively.
