Betsy, I can offer any of my people. We can check and see how they could be related if you like!

A stunner and a flirt? She has to be a Layton! Could be Henry's aunt, youngest sister of Henry Layton, spy and first Earl Parry (born 1749).

Sounds fantastic! But she'd have to be quite a bit younger?Would that work?

That would be a 12 year gap. Add in Charles Layton, father of Jane Rossington (so you've got another connection there!) and maybe one or two children who didn't survive infancy and I think it's perfectly plausible!

Have added her to the wiki. Let me know her dates and details when you've got them! Also, if Henry is actually cousin to Nick and Will then we should probably work out their relationship a bit better sometime! (But not in this thread.)

Betsy, if you want any of my lot, see post above for what I can offer you most obviously - or other connections. Felicity's family is v unlikely as I have no remotely Irish people in my lot!

Rose btw

Aida, we'll discuss, I have some ideas.

Rose, Felicity's mother is English, so there's a lot of possibilities there. Of course, whoever is related to Felicity's mother will be distantly related to Demelza.

Francesca, perhaps a Fitzgerald married a Edgeworth at some point? Would make sense considering they're from the same part of the country. Perhaps not tooooo recent because they've always been "we're friends", not "we're cousins".

Does make sense. How far back do you want it to go, and would you prefer a male or a female connection? If male, would you prefer that your lady marry the titleholder or a younger son?

Regardless, here are the possibilities.

Male Titleholders:
Jonathan Edgeworth (1686-1752), 7th Earl Saxton. (Tristan and Cassie's great grandfather)
Thomas Edgeworth (1719-1787), 8th Earl Saxton (Tristan and Cassie's grandfather)

Younger Sons:
Adrian Edgeworth (1760-) Current Lord Saxton's brother. (Tristan and Cassie's uncle)
More can be invented if necessary. tongue.gif

Dates of birth and death can be tweaked if need be. Nothing is set in stone so far.

Females:
Julia Edgeworth (1756-), Current Lord Saxton's sister. (Tristan and Cassie's aunt)
Mary Edgeworth (1722-1760) and Katherine Edgeworth (1725-1799), Thomas Edgeworth's sisters.

If anyone else wants to pick up some of these relatives, feel free to do so. Be advised that Mary Edgeworth was a scandalous woman though!

Should someone want slightly lower connections, Tristan and Cass' mother Susanna comes from a baronial family, the Greys. Her brother Gabriel, 5th Baron Melbury (1764) and needs a wife. Her mother, the wife of Christopher Grey, 4th Baron Melbury (1723), is also yet to be named and can be claimed by anyone. Beside that, there's a range of female Greys who would have been very happy to marry into some of the board's families.
