The London social Season of 1811 is well underway and all the diversions it supplies are entertaining the haute ton. The men are coming in from their country seats to sit in Parliament and the women are bringing their unmarried daughters with them. But as all ladies know, catching a husband is all well and good, but certainly not at the expense of one's reputation! Will you be a matchmaking mama, a marriage shy gentleman, or a gossip monger intent on bringing everyone down? Anything can happen; it's the London life!

Bumbling, obnoxious, and foolish are all words that describe Mr. H-L, eldest son of Viscount Thorton. His one saving grace is that he truly is a well meaning man. Unfortunately, he has a dreadful habit of falling in love with women who are absolutely not interested (exhibit A: Lady Viola Fitzgerald). This habit, coupled with a sporadic white knight complex, has gotten Francis into some sticky situations, including a duel with the Marquess of Emerson.

And I apologize for that! I've had a paper, two in most cases, due every week for the past four or five weeks. I've been writing papers nonstop and consequently feel like my brain is going to explode.

But I swear I'm still around and haven't forgotten about the site! I know I've been absolutely horrible at plotting and throwing Edouard in the game, but once this term is over, I should have more time for that.

Again, I'm so sorry! I'll be around more in a week or two and hope to get back into the game then!

I think most of the board can empathise. School is horrifically evil sometimes. Good luck with the rest of your work and hope you can get back to RPing soon!
