My first weekend home since the beginning of September! The excitement never ends. No, really. So happy to be going home for four days, if only so I can escape my English Reformation prof...

Anyways, I have some family events to attend this weekend (the real reason as to why I'm going home, haha), namely my Dad's birthday, and two of my cousin's birthdays as well. Oh, and a dentist appointment.

So basically I'm going to be pretty much gone - between birthday parties, appointments, and this massive pile of reading I'm lugging home, along with my snoopy family who simply insists on looking over your shoulder anytime you're on the computer - I won't be back until I get back to school Monday night.

Have a good weekend everyone! Will try to make it on at obscure hours when the house is asleep, but we'll see how that goes. smile.gif

Weeeee! So I'm not actually going away this weekend, but I've resolved to use this thread as my "absence" thread for the duration of the school year. We'll see how that goes.

Basically, I have two midterms this week, and a midterm and an essay next week. This means I'm either going to be on here a lot, or not on at all. If things lead towards the latter, you all know where I am: the library. Or the campus pub. One of the two. tongue.gif

I'm done!

I'm done I'm done I'm done I'm done I'm done I'm done! No more midterms! HUZZAH! We're temporarily ignoring the part where I still have three essays to write in November.

Okay, so not only is this a celebration of my return to LL...it's also to inform that this return shall only last until about noon on Friday, as I'm going home again this weekend for a surprise birthday party for my Grandfather. So Friday-Sunday I'll be away, but I get back Sunday night.

But for the meantime, I am definitely back full time for the rest of the week, and definitely loving all of my spare time that I have now!

Hey guys,

I'm back home now, which of course means I won't be around much this weekend. Even more so as I just found out my mom was in a car accident a couple weeks ago, and no one in my family was allowed to tell me on pain of death because I was so stressed over midterms.

I'm going to go ahead and say that I won't be around at all until Monday - I need to spend as much time with my mom this weekend and make sure she's okay. She swears up, down and sideways that she's perfectly fine, but I feel like a terrible daughter for not being here when she needed me, right after the accident.

Anyways, so that's my little family update. I'd also like to wish everyone a very Happy Halloween! Just carved the pumpkin tonight, and made popcorn candy balls. Tomorrow we're roasting pumpkin seeds and making Mummy Cupcakes. smile.gif

Talk to you all on Monday!

xx Iz

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. On the plus side, though, the fact that they didn't tell you is a pretty good indication that she really is fine. My family used to do the same thing - not tell me any bad news if I was in the middle of exams if it was going to worry me unnecessarily, eg something had happened but the person concerned was fine.
Hope she's recovering well from the shock and any injuries she did suffer, and enjoy your weekend.

I'm back again!

As you may have read in the c-box, I decided to stay home an extra day to help my mom out some more, as my brother isn't home (he's busy wandering around Japan at the moment "cause it seemed like a good idea". I think he should pass some of that luck my way), and I just got back to school last night.

My mom's doing fine, despite the fact that she keeps having these shooting pains in her legs. The chiropractor assured me that it's all fine, it's only happening because she's healing from the accident too quickly, so he has to reverse some of the healing so that he can make sure everything is aligned properly.

Aside from that, it was a good weekend. My grandfather was surprised about his party, and even though some of my cousin's were being idiots, he enjoyed himself, which is the main thing.

So now...I must respond to posts. smile.gif
