The dust settled from the battle of Hogwarts and there stood Harry Potter, Lord Voldemort lay dead at his feet. Harry Potter had done it, he had battled the strongest Wizard of the time and lived to tell the tale. While the Order and their supporters cheered and celebrated their victory, the death eaters shrunk back into their darkness, waiting for the opportunity to come out and take control once again. They returned to their jobs, denied ever being a death eaters, and those that been caught were thrown in jail. They didn’t stay their for long though.
Rufus Scrimgeour was in office for another ten years after the battle before he was assassinated. A death eater got to him after the downfall of their dark lord. The man that replaced him was a ruthless man, who stop at nothing to get the position. He appealed to the radicals in the Wizarding community who felt that the death eaters should be sentenced to death or at least have their soul sucked out. He was overwhelmingly elected and as soon as he entered office, he went to work. Many death eaters were killed off, sentenced to a mass crutious curse. Some felt he was a little too radical, but he was defiantly better than Fudge had been, so they paid no mind to the new ministers radical ideas.
After becoming comfortable in office for a good five years and comfortable with his power, the new minister started to make plans to weed out supporters of Voldemort, such as the vampires and werewolves and since most Wizarding families were terrified of them anyways, they didn’t bother him. Vampires and Werewolves, scared for their lives, went into hiding. The Wizarding community stayed calm and quite, reelecting him year after year. Things stayed as normal as they had become for another six or seven years, but not all was normal with this minister. Behind closed doors the minister plotted and planned. He planned to create a new Wizarding world, one completely cut off from the muggle world, no more muggleborns.
The ministry is taking over and the Wizarding World, after being in such a state of calm, peace, and serenity, is completely unprepared to deal with another attack. With his new reign of terror, the new minister had replaced the headmaster of Hogwarts with a new headmistress. An equally ruthless woman who has very little patience for children or their antics. She has completely turned the school upside down and the children of hogwarts are caught in the middle.
