CHARLIE says | “I met Darla on the first day of school. Being the total ‘social butterfly’ that I am, I’d been walking around the campus for a while on my own just taking everything in and not really saying much at all to anyone. I’d gotten separated from my other friends and was playing a loner act, I suppose. I like to be alone sometimes? Anyway, there must’ve been something about me that caught Darla’s eye because she started talking to me and I soon learned we were both art majors and had a lot of other random things in common. Needless to say, we got along pretty well and are still really good friends. She won’t let me sulk about things and always seems to know exactly how to have a good time. She’s a fun one to hang out with and I try to take care of her when she’s past her alcohol limit, although this is sometimes difficult when I am also wasted – which I try not to get. It’s rare. I think looking out for someone also helps me with myself. We’re both there for each other in our own ways and I wouldn’t trade that for anything. Darla’s cool. The only thing I found hard to believe was when I discovered she had pretty close ties with my room mate Adam. I actually laughed, sad to say."

LILAH says | "Ugh, ugh, ew, just thinking about this whore brings phlegm up into my throat. I'm so sorry -- actually, never mind, why should I be? -- this girl, this Darla Sykes, is just disgusting. She calls herself an artist, I think, or something just as ridiculous, but I swear that the only reason she's even here is because she has this goal to fuck anything that even closely resembles the male species. I admit that I don't know anything about her past, but from the way she walks around and holds herself, she gives me the impression of one of those stuck-up, self-loving females who honestly believe they own the entirety of the universe. Now that I think of it, her father probably does, because how else did she get into this school? In all respects, I'm not exactly quiet, but I don't usually go around insulting anyone that I technically don't even know virtually anything about. But in this case, I couldn't help myself. I was in the student lounge when I spotted this... tramp, making out with some boy that must have been two years older than her, more than likely more. They were right in front of the vending machines, for god sakes, and yeah, it was nasty. So I started hacking up a lung on the spot to make my presence known, and what do you know, they kept at it. By this time I was dying of thirst and want of a Mountain Dew, so I walked right up to them, gave them a chance to move, and when they didn't, I split them apart, literally, down the middle with my body, and shoved right through. If I didn't give them about five minutes of obvious time, telling them to move the hell away, it may have been rude. But I was perfectly polite. They should have gotten a room. Darling Darla told me to go fuck myself (in fact, she might've had a little to much to drink) and I smiled, and went about my business. Since, we've been throwing insults at each other for no particular reason. I can't help but hate her. How she has so many friends is a mystery to me."
