So i got a hype to do a little fiction and there's a storyline i suddenly thought of. SO why not give it a try?

While I don't think I can actually finish it, i manage to get the prologue done so I'll post it first.

As for the title, I cant think of any yet since this just popped up from nowhere, but feel free to give some suggestions at the sleeping gazebo. Maybe if i liked it I'll use it as a title xd.gif

Before I begin I'd like to mention that the storyline and plot is made by me alone and names used are not related to anything real. Geez I'm not good at explaining this things but you should catch what i meant...>_>

And I would also like to add that since i watched too many animes and played too many games, certain parts of the story might have its terms or something.

Prologue:
"The world was never peaceful. Whenever there's light, darkness must exist. That is the balance of the world."

For many decades, darkness swarms across the lands from the Black Tower, whose owner is an unnamed Dark Lord. He was known as immortal, never able to age and ultimately, unable to die.

With all of the darkness surrounding us, where is the light we pray for?

For all the years, everyone protected themselves, hiding from his shadowy wrath. There was no news of a hero who would rise up and destroy the Dark Lord. The world fell victim into his darkness.

From then, a fresh, new hope was born.

Nobody knew exactly when… but finally, there came an opposition against the Dark Lord...

*100 Years ago*(As history recorded)
The people who showed up and went against the Dark Lord revealed themselves as "The Zero Bloodline" or Zeros in short. Their origins were unknown but all of them share similar physical traits; silver hair and black clothes.

One day, when the Dark Lord sent an army to eliminate them, the group of Zeroes manages to hold off the intruders, and a small faction of their army discreetly fought their way into the Black Tower.

Soon after the battle ended, news spread across the world yielding different results; some said the Dark Lord is killed. Others said the Zeros failed.

But as the world knew, there were no signs of activity from the Black tower. The Zeros concealed themselves in a Large Mansion at the southern border of the peaceful city of Aria, and both the Black Tower and the Zeros' Mansion became a forbidden place to the rest of world.

Things returned to their peaceful state once again and the events once happened was never mentioned to the younger generations except for the forbidden lands…

Recently, wolves began settling into a route located between the sorcerer’s city, namely the Dragon valley and the city of Aria. Traders who wish to go pass this route must be able to defend themselves, otherwise they’ll have to hire mercenaries to protect them and their caravan.

To remedy the wolf problem, authorities from Dragon Valley have decided to send some of their trained sorcerers to reduce the number of wolves and provide additional protection to anyone passing by.

"Bern, it's your turn now. I hope you enjoy the evening shift."
"Of course I'll enjoy it Nick. There are more wolves coming out during nights for me to get some workout!"
"Don't get yourself carried away, we're only here to protect people who uses this route and kill off those blood-thirsty wolves. Besides, you're 24 already, so try and act like an adult."
"I know, but you’ve been with me for years, I'm not that type...Haha, okay I'm going now, see ya!"

The half-moon shines high in the sky. However, Bern had to light up the path. While being very careful about the flames so he would not burn any trees nearby, he slowly orbited the fire on both corners as he makes his first trip to Aria on his regular rounds. Fire was his best element, so it wasn't very troublesome for him to get the evening shift.

When he was halfway to Aria, Bern sensed something quite unusual. He stopped to look around and checked his senses. Bern then focused his senses more to find out what was it. As the wind blows faintly, he smelt blood. He quickly rushed to the direction of that smell and shortly after that, he prepared himself for battle.

"3 wolves, and a victim. Damn!"

The wolves noticed his presence and faced him. They were prepared to leap anytime.
Their distance was only 10 meters in between, and the wolves are getting closer.

"I can't use fire here, they're too many trees. I'll just stick with earth"

Bern took his first move by collecting energy into his palms and strikes the ground. The wolves on the other hand saw that as an opening and dashed towards him.

Suddenly, a wall of earth rose between them and spikes were formed pointing at the wolves.

Before the wolves could get any nearer and go around it, Bern clenches his fists and punched the wall. It shatters into spikes and flew towards the wolves. The wolves had no chance on evading the spikes because they were too close.

With the wolves killed, he took a deep breath and quickly rushed to the victim.

"Ugh, it’s too late. She's dead...Hmm? What’s over here..."

To his surprise, the victim wasn't a trader or a villager from either Aria or Dragon Valley; the clothing on her doesn’t belong to neither of it. Furthermore, it’s badly stained with the female’s own blood. He has to do something before the wolves come back.

"In a case of an emergency, shoot a spark of light up to the sky, we will send extra help immediately"

He remembered those words when he first joined the newly formed team that will be taking care of the route.

10 minutes later, 3 sorcerers arrived.

"Whoa that was fast!"

"Bern, what's the matter? Ugh, what’s that smell...."

"There's a victim at that tree. She's dead already. I can't recognize her origin so I'll need your help to bring the body back to the Valley."

"Alright, which tree?"

"Can't you tell from that smell? It's over there..." Bern turns around to point at the victim's body.

"What the..."

There was no body. No blood. Only 3 dead wolves.

"Bern, were you joking? The smell of blood only comes from the wolves."

"Are you trying to show off that you killed 3 tonight?"

"Wait, it was there just now... I swear!"

"Hey calm down, it’s probably just an illusion or something since it’s too dark to see anything at night. We'll be going back now, call us again ONLY IF you're sure there's something important. See ya."

The three of them exhaustedly walked back with rather disappointed look. It seems that they were interrupted from their slumber when the sparkle of light was sent by Bern.

Unable to believe what just happened, Bern walked to the tree to make things sure for him and his eyes. He was sure that he came close to the body and inspected it a little. Suddenly, there was a small sound coming from the top of the trees. Feeling surprised, he took a step back and kept his guard on. He looked up into the trees, and there lays a small figure wrapped in white cloth.

Using the wind element on his legs, he lifted himself to the top of the tree and lit a small fire at his palm to get a clearer look.

"It’s… it’s a... baby..."

He gently took the baby down from the branches and inspected for any notes or clues for his identity.

There he found a Memory Sphere.

"That's a surprise. Only powerful sorcerers and the Elders of all cities are able to make this. Oh well, I'll just take a look inside."

Memory Spheres are similar to a recording tape, the sorcerer must cast a spell into his or her brain to capture the moments seen and heard until the caster stops the spell and converts those memories and thoughts into a physical form. Which is why only the most powerful ones are able to do so. In a case if it fails, the caster will suffer severe headaches. If it changes for the worst, there could be fatal consequences if the Memory sphere is created in a wrong way.

While the Memory Sphere can only be created by limited people, reading it however can be done by anyone. In this Memory Sphere, Bern couldn't see anything. The caster is probably blindfolded. He also heard an unfamiliar voice,

"Take good care of him, and raise him well. If you fail to do so, there shall be chaos. Understand the important role you're in now."

With that sentence ending, the Memory Sphere shatters and becomes unreadable.

"That's odd; normally it can be read over and over again..."

The baby, sleeping quietly in his arms, he knew that it is his responsibility to take care of him now.
"What should I name you hmm?"
