I am trying to find out any information at all about my grt grandfather on my Fathers mothers side.
All the info i have is from a court of inquiry into his death, so some info may be slightly wrong
His name was William Alexandra Macpherson, served in the 2nd Btl RDF
We believed he joined in about 1895 and was a Sergeant.
In 1916 he joined the Corps of Royal Engineers and was demobilised approx 1919 when he was a Corporal.
I know he was suffering from an illness contracted in India on service when he was murdered on the 7th or 8th July 1921 near Mallow in County Cork.

So any information, or advise as to where i can find this information would be greatly appreciated

Kind Regards

Jeremy
