Hello to all members, I am new here. I would like share with your this photograph of my great great uncle Percy Gamaliel Whitelocke-Lloyd (1890-1954). He joined the RDF in 1914 but before that first he joined the Prince of Wales Leinster Regiment from 1910-1914. He gained the Military Cross in 1917. And rose from Leuitant to Captain. Spent a few months with the RAF but went soon back to the RDF. He was posted for a time in India in 1921/22. And was wounded. He was married in 1925. His father was William Whitelocke-Lloyd of the 24th Reg. during his time in the Zulu War. (Artist) I would be grateful for any help in gaining either or both army records for both father and son. I already have info on both of them but any extra info welcome. Thank you. Vicky https://picasaweb.google.com/vickyhouse2002...102320197114626 |

I already have his medal card and I know he is in the 1911 census training at Devonport. He was in the 5th Leinster Regiment before joining thr RDF.
As I don't have his full army record - I can't say when he was wounded but I think it was after he won the Military Cross, He was in the regiment until 1922. He spend time in India during 1920/21 but returned back to the RDF in 1921/22. I have found him listed in War Office records for his promotions too. Just would be very grateful if anyone can point me in the direction of his full army record. Its not on Ancestry or TNA website. I know him very well now with all my research. His family tree back to 1200. |

Just found this so I know he was still in the army (see left hand side about 5-6th down the page) in 1921. |
