I have a medal card for my Grand Father Patrick Courtney I think. The Campaign was for 1914, Reg N0:6732 His rank was for pte.I dont really understand this. I assume this is for different batallions formations. would any one be able to help in decoding this.

I also have a list with, Patrick Courtney with Reg N0:9250? Rank listed Serjeant. I am trying to fine his army serial N0:

He was discharged in Cork 1918, with the rank of Serjeant. Could any one point me in the right direction to trace him.( He was also wounded by Mustard Gas).
