Greetings, my fellow Half-Life enthusiasts! As the moderator of this particular set of roleplaying forums, I felt it was right to personally welcome you to this area of the Journal. I have a few HL-specific guidelines and tips for you, the roleplayer.

1. Please try to stay in normal parameters when in the specific game forums. This means when you are in the Half-Life 2 forum, try to keep your roleplays specifically pertaining to Half-Life 2.

2. Just because you are in the open HL forum doesn't mean you can go off on a tangent. Try to keep some Half-Life-y aspects to your roleplays. This means including creatures of Xen or the Combine as enemies, and so on and so forth.

3. Vulgarity is alright as long as it is in the context of the story. ABSOLUTELY NO SEXUAL CONTENT ALLOWED. Unless it is a mere thought of a momentary conversational reference.

4. And last, have fun. These aren't meant to keep you on a leash, just to regulate your activities. I would hate to have to close a perfectly good topic because one idiot made a stupid comment or did something really really stupid.
