I have been arguing with some of my friends about this for a while. I think that this is a terrible game, even though they claim it is the best game ever made. I think that the only reason why they like this is because they played it as a child and it was way above the standards for the time. Since I did not, I don't feel the same nostalgia when playing and I cannot find the fun in the game. Does anyone who likes video games agree with me? Or if you have not played it, try it and tell me you hate it too. One of my friends claims that he knows someone who played zelda for the first time as an adult, and liked the game. You cannot imagine how terrible I feel living on a campus of 20,000 students and being unable to find anyone who agrees with me.
(may my attempt to inject life into this forum not be in vain)

I think nostalia might play a part in it, yes, but there must be some reason just about every gamer out there have this game on his/her top 10 over best games ever. Maybe they have just fallen for the story? Fact is, that the old games do look crappy and have bad mecanics (Heroes of Might and Magic 2 anyone?), but something about the game just makes you love it.
(My try on bringing back the activity around here)

Meh, I don't think my dislike is caused by the graphics or anything, my main concern is that it is just not fun to do stuff. There are minor puzzles to solve, enemies that are easy to beat with certain strategies, and big boss fights; all of which I do not like. I know I am not the only person who dislikes these, but it seems as if there is some redeeming quality that I am overlooking.

all i ever liked about zelda was the story, the game itself was a drag. in the realm of rpgs my all time favourite was blood omen. as for videogames... LONG LIVE ATARI!!!!
