Is it just me, or is there a flood of BASIC games like nibbles or pong… If you are going to make a BASIC nibbles make it original, like a never-ending tail and shrinking walls, or make the dot move every couple of seconds. When you set out to make a game make an original one, instead of posting the billionth nibbles game out there! I at CDI Games strive to bring originality to the lot, but there is so many people trying to make the same thing. (Zelda, FF, Snake, or Pong) If you are going to make a game at least for our sake make it original, the people at OLS made a great BASIC Contra, Kévin Ouellet made the most awesome RL series and now Reuben Quest! Granted these use many ASM utilities but their original and great overall. I know we all learned to program simple games at first, but don’t release another nibbles… Make something original, fun, and so exciting that it’ll floor the whole community… Even if it doesn’t floor us, we need more original games, put your imagination to work! Please, we’d all appreciate it…

Nah all posts are back up in this section, except the community dying article which had over 70 posts. A gs snake or a snake game with FPS engine would be fun maybe

Well I think it is something that a person goes through eventually, heck look at my programs released on ticalc.org and you will find some pretty bad games...I think people entering the community do make smaller/crappier games, but didn't we all?

My first 'real' project was an rpg about a hired assassin, run with RPGSK engines.
Too bad the battle engine made it crash...I wouldn't have released it anyway for its mature content. (This was before I joined the community, when RPGSK was my only programming experience.) -------------------- Greetings from 2/5/2012!
