wow I just found this on Youtube
http://youtube.com/watch?v=yNFuDgFnokk http://youtube.com/watch?v=vPY11XpYLsU It brings me old memories, i remember even the schools in my city were closed and in Quebec city (where it occured) McDonalds stores had to barricade their windows with wood plates. In my town there was policemen in motorcycles, which is pretty rare here and there was even a tank moving around in the city. THat was prbly the worst riot since October 70 here ![]() Now my opinion on this: I do not mind some stuff about globalization, such as being able to access more products from any countries, altough I disapprove when they are made by kids paid $0.30/hour in india for example. I also disagree that the guys who caused the trouble in the above videos deserved an apology. They claim the police abused those gases and violence, but imho the protestants shouldn't even have used violence in the first place. Double standard here. -------------------- |
