Title: Zelda makes it to top 100 downloads at ticalc.org

DJ Omnimaga - September 19, 2007 11:34 PM (GMT)
Since the past two days, The Legend Of Zelda: Dark Link Quest, which just broke a milestone with now 40258 downloads, is now ranked 100th in most downloaded files of all time at ticalc.org. As for now, the game is still in the top 25 downloads in the past week, like everytime school starts. I would like to thanks everyone who downloaded the game and tried it so far!

Bowling is ranked #2 in the list of top rated programs. It probably won't stay on the list for long since the rank is only based on 4 votes. As more people vote, it'll get a lower rank.

It's also at #21 for most downloaded in the past 7 days, however that's probably because that it's still on the front page. Once it's off the front, it most likely won't receive that many downloads.

Congrats! I never got any of my games rated higher than 6 x.x, but for those reasons I dont follow ratings much because i saw an awesome asm game once with 2/10 ranking

I think bowling will still get some downloads though as it is gonna be listed in the Featured program section forever

To hell with the ratings, it's the # of downloads that shows what the good games are. Anyways, yay for that, one of the better basic games out there. :)

How do they even come up with the ratings?
Based on 4 votes, it's impossible to get an average 9.16 using whole numbers. Is downloads factored in somehow?

Congrats to you as well!
There wouldn't be a Bowling if it weren't for your games :P Seriously.
I think it was Reuben Quest that got me interested in programming.

Heck with it, congratulations to all those programmers out there who have overcome their laziness to release at least one game of mediocre to high quality! XD

Note: I am not congratulating myself for some reason... %)

Wow!! O_O

Congratulations Kevin!! Over 40000 downloads is amazing -- especially for a single program. :king:

And to make a complete game... I know first hand how hard it is to create a complete game (RPG). :banghead:
