Ok, so I've had an 89 Titanium for like 2-3 years now and I've recently run into a problem (that I was expecting considering all the things I've done with my calculator). Yesterday, I wanted to free some space for EEPro (FlashApp) so I deleted a game I no longer play. I accidentally unarchived it and then deleted it. Somehow, my RAM went from ~170 KB to ~144 KB! I tried resetting the calculator, crashing it and then resetting, garbage collection, and practically every thing I knew. I still can't recover that lost RAM so I guess the only thing left is to do a hard reset by deleting EVERYTHING off my calculator.
I will need to backup my calculator first, but that's a problem. TI-Connect won't work on my computer(s) - I receive a bunch of Windows error messages every time a try to connect. I know the most recent version of TILP supports 89 Titanium and USB linking, but can it backup a calculator?
(P.S. If anyone knows how to recover my RAM, please tell me!)
Ummm, I'm pretty sure you answered yourself: use TiLP
Ti Connect just backs up your calc as a group file, no biggie.
If you can transfer and save files from your calc onto your comp, then you can back up your calc.
OK. Thanks. I'll install TILP this weekend.
