i want to get the cat off my car and i wanted to know if anyone had a round about price of how much a midas shop would cost, or if anyone had any suggestions of shops to do it (up north!!) i figure i would cut out the cat myself and just drive there (less than 1 mile away from me) and have them weld in a pipe to fill in the "hole"
does midas do good work to begin with?
Thanks

They are still technically not legally allowed to do it.
Really, any place that has a welder should do it for under $50.
I figure it at $10 in "parts"
and .5 hours at $80 an hour.
So, about $50...

oh so i kinda need an "in" to get it done.
i'll stop by one day with some washington's and see what they say doh.gif rollinglaugh.gif if they'd be up for it.
but $50 isn't bad thanks, thats just about what i was willing to spend

OK...np...if your real serious i will stop by the shop today or tomorrow just to make sure. Obv. no receipt will be given, but they should be able to do it. Just curious as to why you want that done?? Your running completely stock exhaust otherwise right? I always like getting in real good w/the 'tree hugging broads"...they think cats are a turn on!

u don't have to stop by 2day, whenever it fits into ur schedule and is nice outside, no rush on it.
i just want it out to open up the exhaust some more, possibly get 3 more HP and mostly for the sound, my cars too quiet for my taste. and he car hasn't passed emissions from day 1, remember in newburgh u following me with the exhaust fume smell
