Ok guys i need some help here.. i just bought a 4th gen fiberglass spoiler from one of the members parry69. cool dude... first i need to prep it for paint.. since my car needs a paint job and the spoiler on there now is black ima go with semi gloss or flat black... i forgot what number sand paper to use Does anyone know? ive wokred at my cousins body shop before and know i need scuff it up and fog the paint on and give it several coats whne it dries avaiding any runs.. next question is has anyone done a 4th gen spoiler instal on their 3rd gen? any steps i need to follow is it a direct bolt on? (E.G window clips, stud removal light hook up) i have a friend who will help with the instal. just need to know the steps to take so the instal in pain and curse free lol..
I need to pick up the studs is there a specific size or just bring one stud with me to auto zone or strauss. The light is already wired up just need to drill the holes for the screws to hold it in palce.. All info will help. Thanks

shit take pics its hard to imagine a 3rd gen with a 4th spoiler on it. but get ready to get hammered alot of guys here hate 4th gens lol try searching on thirdgen.org alot of guys there fabricate stuff there

That is actually a very commone mod done on your car.
There is a ton of info on TGO on how to do the install. As far as prep work I would leave that for the professionals to answer.
Is the Dr. in the house?

I thought the width is very different from both models, i would assume it would need to be lengthened to fit on a third gen as they appear to be wider...would love to see pics.

i know ive seen pics of 4th gen spoilers on 3rd gens.. i think it looks good but then again ill find out once i put it on.. i know hawks sells them.made for our cars.
it came new primed so i just have to scuff it up n throw some paint onit. i will take some pics once i get started of the before during and after.. hopefully it aint such a pain in the ass.. wish me luck...
