If you already didn't know, MUA2 was announced earlier this year, but finally information is starting to come in about the game which is supposed to be released either around X-Mas time or early next year.

I would show a picture, but Photobucket took it down since it violated their terms of use--which is a rather well rounded hint it was official. I do know it was from a marketing survey of some such. Here's the basic context at any rate:

"Select your side in the conflict and assemble your team from a roster of 20 Marvel Legends, including Hulk, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Venom, and the Human Torch."

Marvel Ultimate Alliance: Civil War

O_O Lightning webs? I might have to check this game out.

AWESOME! The first one was pretty decent. And... god dammit, they better put Shadowcat in the game! Grrr, that's like my dream. I've been wanting her in all the X-Men related games like, X-Men legengs and what not. But I guess they won't let her b/c she is a phaser. But that is stupid, becuase Kurt can teleport... What's the difference?

Anyway... this looks cool. Did they announce the big plot?

Kitty just won't let herself be put in a game that she can beat in one sitting. It's gotta be at least a little bit challenging before she puts her stamp of approval on it.

Damn, i still havent gotten around to completeing MUA 1 yet (And we finally get Smash Bros Brawl this friday as well...

The bullet!? Not the bullet! This sux. Shadowcat is like my favorite character, xD. I can't believe Wolverine gets to be in all the games and Shadowcat wasn't even in ONE! Not even one. I mean, come on, what's so special about Wolvie, anyway? xD

Raven's specifically said Shadowcat "breaks" the game since walls were in the game on purpose and not to be walked through.

But E3 revealed a trailer.

It's officially called "Marvel Ultimate Alliance: Fusion" now. Their powers don't actually combine, but instead they combine for combos. They have one called the Hamster Ball, which Invisible Woman traps The Hulk in a psionic ball and he... rolls around.

So basically the only true new character, so far, is the Green Goblin.

Green Goblin's fusion techniques include such moves as "Team-Killing Bastard, Mark I" in which he sets a teammate on fire, and that teammate can touch enemies for fire damage though it costs ally health. There's also "Team-Killing Bastard, Mark II" in which he uses a psychosis bomb to make the ally go berserk and throw themselves into the nearest enemy for a ton of damage to both. And who can forget "Team-Killing Bastard, Mark III" in which a teammate is electrocuted and the nearest enemy is stunned into paralysis.

So basically it's what they should have done in the first place; making 'team attacks' mean more than having two graphically bare-bones attacks hit at the exact same time while a fight announcer tries to act like it was special. Neat.

Details have been mentioned that depending on what side you choose as a player (pro-registration vs anti-registration), it'll dictate which characters will be on your team.

I didn't take a screenshot, but I had a "fanboy" (negative context aside) moment when Wolverine and Iron Man had their fusion! I LURVED IT.
