[mR]TTT - April 27, 2006 07:34 AM (GMT)
lol wtf is 2.6, we dont even usually have a server running. 1.2 is the patch you must be talking about.
[hwy]spyrokng2222 - April 27, 2006 11:10 AM (GMT)
ya it is i got it on version 2.5 but im not sure about 2.6 and i know how i can check but i need the server name exactly
America's Army God - May 16, 2006 07:34 AM (GMT)
[hwy] is an America's Army clan, this site is about some extremely lameass game, so the site spyro is looking for is
Military Response Crew Hompage and by the way, what do you guys find appealing in this stupid game, it has bad graphics and no rhyme or reason to play it. ;tongue
America's Army God - May 16, 2006 07:36 AM (GMT)
And oh yeah, MR. is a mac clan so they may not ever move to 2.6 unless the Army starts funding the mac version again.

Correct, but I believe the majority of RF'ers prefer it because it's players aren't brain-dead, they know how to browse for the websites they're looking for. :P
GG AA ambassadors.
America's Army God - May 17, 2006 05:36 AM (GMT)
Well, this [hwy] guy, is a lame PC player because he can play version 2.6. The Macintosh players are the true heart and soul of America's Army. Clans such as
IMF,
TGD,
MR,
[o3b],
[BM],
{EVAs},
-MaC-,
Fas,
{RvE},
[xXx]... that are still on the previous version of this game are over half macintosh only players. Spyro is one of the slower people of the bunch. Every community has its village idiots, who else better to give you a good laugh with their undying stupidity. We just blow them to bits with an m203 grenade launcher.
America's Army uses weapons that are from real situations and militaries and scenarios that are believable and simulate live combat situations. A real adrenaline rush, if you will.
[mR]Heikenen - May 17, 2006 07:45 AM (GMT)
HAHAHA Hit the nail on the head about every community having their village idiots, I like how you talk soldier. ;smile despite you mentioning a bunch of clans that I don't know nor care about for who knows what reasons..
So what's your view on the Call of Duty series?? Real-life guns, situations etc. albeit them being pre-historic.. I've been innactive in Red Faction for well, clearly over a year now anyway, immersed in the CoD scene.
America's Army God - May 17, 2006 08:01 AM (GMT)
First, who are your village idiots.
The call of duty series is awesome. Sweet graphics, smooth gameplay. But they need to leave the old guns behind, we have better ones now, why use old junk when you have new equipment at your digital disposal. In answer to that, my friend, is that no note-worthy armed conflict with a well defined plot and purpose has really taken place since those ages. It is a point of interest in history to get people to buy the product because it deals with one of the biggest events in our history of firearm warfare (people prefer guns to arrows, they like going deaf).
It is not free.
Does that about spell it out for you?
This game's biggest perk is quality with absolutely no fee for that quality, it is absolutely free. Download it
here. If you are on Mac, try one of the other download sites listed and search for AA 2.5.
America's Army God - May 17, 2006 08:08 AM (GMT)
In case you didnt notice, you can click on each clan name. Check out their forums, read about them, become engrossed in the America's Army gaming community. Click
here for the Official AA forums. Click
here for the First to Kill AA tournament ladder website (all the clans I listed are competing in this ladder).
Are you the only one who is going to talk to me? or are you the only one on the forums since i first posted?
America's Army God - May 17, 2006 08:13 AM (GMT)
Oh, and bye the way, sweet website. Who made it?
[mR]Heikenen - May 17, 2006 12:15 PM (GMT)
Meh.. The RF Village Idiots hang out more so on
OZRF and rarely venture far. Just your normal 12 year old non-thinking mob I guess.
Correct, it's not free, unless you know people :P I'm yet to pay for
any games that I actively play online. You can download the .iso's easily enough, and there's always some unsatisfied player bitching in the
GA forums about how lowsy the game is. So you just get in contact with them and grab their CD key.
I had already clicked on a few of those clans you listed earlier, looking for details on where you're all stationed, most of the "about us" pages were unnavailable, so I just decided to ping some of the IPs of servers to determine if they were in Australia or not. I was getting results of 200+ on the couple of servers I tried. Where abouts are you from?
*Edit: Oh wait, I just saw that one of the clans was begun by occupants in Germany, ouch.
Which then provokes me to ask, is AA a world-wide played game.. I find enough trouble playing in the
GA Ladder against noobs sitting on 100 ping, opposed to playing against people on pings of 300 an vice-versa.
I've also started downloading AA since you mentioned the homepage earlier, I had the game quite some time ago, ahhh V1.6, but never went online with it as I had no internet connection :P It could be a nice break of CoD 24/7
In response to your questions, well.. yeah.. Probably a bit of both. You're kind of lucky I saw your post, I practically never come here, only ever to OZRF to moderate the damn place.
[mR]Dan made this website.
And GOD NO, I'm not on MAC.
America's Army God - May 17, 2006 02:35 PM (GMT)
Are you against macintosh gamers? OS X is better than any OS that Microsoft will ever make. Windows Vista has all the features that mac users have had for years. I am a pc user but am attempting to aquire a mac (raising funds).
America's Army is a worldwide game. I live in the central US. As you might guess, most of the players are in the US though. But there are players from every continent (excluding antartica) and they all play without lag. The -MaC- clan even has a whole squad from australia, all the members that have a '.au' at the end of their name.
And i am seriously interested in getting [MR]Dan interested in AA. He could make a sweet clan simply because of the clan website.
I guess i will say that i am in the IMF clan. My name is [IMF]=demonspork=, but i wont be playing with you because the whole clan stays on 2.5 until it comes out for our mac players and you probably downloaded version 2.6 of AA. By the way, what type of internet connection do you have now?
America's Army God - May 17, 2006 02:51 PM (GMT)
And we have got a village idiot in our clan. (Noobanizer on the
forums is the only real village idiot, ignore echo, he just left IMF to start Military Response and initiate this whole conversation, so he got the village idiot status) but at least [IMF])(1eet_n00b) can own.
demonspork

You preach about the greatness of a free game, then talk about the expences of a MAC :P
I have nothing against MAC gamers, however it appears the developers of that almighty game of yours does. To me it's all preference. I prefer my cheaper, easier to fix/work with, easier to network, easier to just fucking work PC.

Ahh.. Against eachother?? Don't you notice any kind of delay in your shooting and them dieing? OR hit-box alterations?
Lol, Sorry mate, I think [mR]Dan's firmly entrenched in the RF scene, that is.. When he has time to play.
| QUOTE ("AA's God") |

Ahhh K.. Come clean from what?? It's not like I knew you before, or even now that you tell me you're demonspork :P Is the name meant to hold significance? A rep of skill? I checked your site & forum again for some kind of info or screens.. Couldn't find anything. I also couldn't fin my way to the ladder on the FtK site.. I figured I'd have to sign up, CBF'ed.
Well, don't worry.. By the time I actually get around to downloading 2.6 and then installing it, I'm sure there'll be a MAC compatible version.
[mR]TTT - May 18, 2006 11:49 AM (GMT)
Hi AA dude, mac's over pc? what are you? nuts??!?! ;scared2 i had AA installed on my rig when i first built it, but never really got into it... actually i really should say i more just cbf'd with it, though for a free game, it is awesome!

Thx for the support,
Mac is a better system by far, it just didn't get the advertising down in the begining so PC has a larger clientele. Because PC is bigger than Mac, more people are good at creating games for PC, specifically Windows, thus making cost of production for PC games cheaper. If you ask me, somebody should be taking up a donation, an American dollar a piece from all the mac players would pay for the porting to mac.
I notice no differential between playing with the guy across the street on AA and playing with a guy in Australia.
I meant to be an anonymous user, but i gave my name so readers of this post could have one name to reference if i succeed in my mission and bring them into the America's Army gaming community. I am going to move on to another forum in another game and continue my mission.
oh, yeah, just one last question. What type of internet connection do you have?
[mR]TTT - May 19, 2006 07:48 AM (GMT)
oh ok, but the thing is with macs they are not uprgadeable, you have to buy the next system!
I have 512/128kbps wireless connection.... pretty shithouse for gaming.
America's Army God - May 20, 2006 11:12 AM (GMT)
yeah, those connections tend to lag, they are broadband at least
America's Army God - May 21, 2006 06:26 PM (GMT)
nice Job heikenen in being the top, i found that deathmatch ladder you won. You seem to have mastered this game, time to move on right? ;smile
[mR]Heikenen - May 22, 2006 08:26 AM (GMT)
Yup, I have, I moved onto CoD, then to WoW, then back to CoD. I'll be making sure I finish this last season out on that game first before I move on I'd say. And I've downloaded AA, so DW. I'll come for a game sometime in the near future.
America's Army God - May 23, 2006 03:45 AM (GMT)
Give me a heads up when you want to play, ill upgrade to 2.6 for a few days (IMF is on 2.5 for the mac members) and see how fast your learning curve is. Just post here again and it will email me.
America's Army God - May 23, 2006 03:46 AM (GMT)
I wonder if spyrokng has been back to check out his post. ;crash
America's Army God - May 23, 2006 03:48 AM (GMT)
I was talking to a friend who has played Red Faction a little bit, and he was talking about version 2. What version are you guys on?
America's Army God - May 23, 2006 05:16 AM (GMT)
I like your really big smilies ;smile ;tongue ;wink ;scared2 ;love4 ;laugh_floor ;angry2 ;crash ;devil
[mR]Heikenen - May 23, 2006 05:50 AM (GMT)
Ahhh actually, there is no version 2 of Red Faction. There is a sequel to Red faction, dubbed Red Faction 2. However, RF2 features no online play, poor story line and a poor game in general. Therefore making it a pretty big flop.
Red Faction was released as 1.0 and was supported by Volition for only a short time, being updated to 1.1 and then 1.2.
We play on Version 1.2
There is an unsupported 'Lazyban 1.3' patch that can be downloaded and used, it allows no modifcation to the Red faction UI.vpp file while being able to show up additional un-moddable servers, making it practically impossible to cheat on. This eliminates all of your general pub modders from ruining your games.
It also makes it much easier to ban people if you possess the rcon pw.
America's Army God - May 23, 2006 09:29 PM (GMT)
I was finally checking out that ozrf site, they have so many village idiots spamming it, it doesnt even stay on topic for more than 3 posts, it is generally just spam
America's Army God - May 23, 2006 09:31 PM (GMT)
I'm going to limewire a whole bunch of differrent games i have learned about over the years, I just added this to the list of things to download, might as well try it just for the heck of it.
