MKNF a Year in review: 2006

This is MKNF's first year. In this re-up topic, we review the significant events that took place in MKNF in the year 2006. Yeah, we had our ups and downs, It all started in June. When I was invited here, and changed my daily ritual. What used to be coming home playing Halo, doing my Homework, watching TV and go to bed. And Now is coming home, doing my homework, and going on my computer visiting this site before playing videogames sometimes.

The Attack
The significant events that occured on this site were most happy and some sad. Starting with the first time this site came out, it was great, we had Damien (our admin) Grandam99, LCyrax4D4K, MKNinjaChick, Reptile Jr., our long forgotten member from MKNF 1: Reptile, and myself Hellspawn5. There was also Mortalfool and another LFM Subby. But then, MKNF was changed for good when it was attacked by 4 members, forcing the site to fall apart. It was a devestating event to MKNF, which caused some members to quit. And the site to be completly demolished.

MKNF Reborn
After the attack, a few days later, MKNF was rebuild. Some of the members returned and pitched in to help the site build up again. Bringing back old posts from the old MKNF that made it great before, adding new features and posting. On october 14th, MKNF revolutionized in a whole new way, introducing the skin chooser feature, and reeling a number of members on that same day. But the site was closed temporaraily, for repairs to attract new members which it was successful in doing. But on one day, one of our loved co-admin's Grandam99 walked off the site. To most the reason is untold but to some the reason is known. He is deeply missed on the site by those who know him, but he is visited by some members where he stays: on our brother site: Mortal Kombat Info Highway. But that also occured a few months lader when our Moderator LCyrax4D4K left the site as well. Leading to MKNinjaChick one of our long time active mods and also one of our insignificant member's: Arctic but he isn't missed. LCyrax4D4K did in fact return to the site which he was the heart of. But MKNinjaChick didn't return and is missed as well. But a month after, we've got a huge group of members who joined this site. Some didn't show since the day they joined. But some did show up daily and thanx to them, this site will grow larger in posts. MKNF may have only about 9 active members, but this site grows and grows by the day and by the month. And by the end of the year grown in to a huge community. And in a few years probably a civilization of Mortal kombat fans as long as the franchise continues.

And to all of our members: Draco, Dibula, BladedCage15, Mortalfool, LaChance, Fierypyre, MortalKombat2007, Kenshi, Jason Voorhees, Skellington, Scorpion89, Sindelgood, Elektra the Assassin, Reptile110, Lord Ermac, KaniteAJC, and all the others.

This is great. Best topic i've seen here hands down. But i'd like to add something to that.

Thanks to our wonderful member, Hellspawn5, who joined a long time ago when the site first opened in June. He is the one who recruited most of our members and made hot topics and polls! Thanks to our wonderful moderator, Hellspawn5, as well as our active and non-active members, moderators, our lost-admin Grandam99 for making this site stand strong, and the one-of-a-kind great admin zirtoc. I dont know what this site would've been like without you!!! Thanks to everyone for making this possible, and hopefully the times of success will bring us closer to the MK community in years, not days, not weeks, not months. Have a great 2007 everyone!

Great topic, I haven't been here for a great length of time but i must congratulate everyone involved in making this site what it is today, you've all done a cracking job.

Yea admins and moderators...im just glad to be on this awesome forum with great people...thank you.

This forum is a "civil" forum, or at least we strive to be. You have have your opinion here, but you have it in a respectful way and you dont make a total jerk of yourself by being rude to other members. I try and strive to keep the forum relatively clean, censoring the uncensored, and just keeping this place organized and presentable. I am glad I joined this site. I dont know how much longer in time I will be here, but I am not going to worry about that now. Until then I am going to be LCyrax4D4K (aka El, aka El Cyrax, aka The 'Rax, aka 4D4).

Damien created a good forum. Our mod team is great. Our members are all great and unique individuals. Happy 2007 MKNF.
