This is the FAQ

What is Metroid: Net Mission?
A 2D multiplayer metroid game. In it you will be allowed to play as many different characters from all throughout the metroid universe.

Is there a demo out?/When will the game be released?
At the moment there is no demo and no release date is set in stone.

Where can I sign up?
There isn't going to be a massive team for this game, but if you feel you have something that you can add to this game post it in the forums and we will consider adding you to the team.

What platform is it on?
At the moment, it's only planned to be on Windows.

What language are you coding in?
C++. Not game maker.

Can I see some of your sprites/sounds?
Not right now, seeing as we don't really have any. After the demo is out, however, I will post the resources on the Metroid: Net Mission website. It is here.

Is there anywhere I can find information about the team?
Yes, go to the Metroid: Net Mission website. It is here.

Is this game incorporated with Nintendo in any way?
No. This is not a commercial game. This is freeware. Nintendo owns all the copyrights to everything in the game.

Do you have a website?
Yes, our website is www.metroid-net-mission.tk.

Why do you have different names for the game?
At first the game was going to be called Metroid: Online, but that name was already taken so we switched everything over to Metroid: Net Mission.

What cool things are going to be in the game?
You will just have to wait and find out...

Huh? Where's the home page?
We've moved to metroid-net-mission.tk our old home page won't get updated any more. Hope you like the new look! biggrin.gif

First of all, no double posting. Use the edit button. Second, there are going to be normal metroids, alpha, gamma, zeta, and omega

Yes. All you need to know how to do is run around and blow things up. No story involved.

Are any special programs required to run C++?

It depends what you mean. If you mean make games for C++, then yes, you need a compiler to change your code in binary ones and zeroes. If you mean run it, it acts just like every program you have on your computer. Pretty much every commercial software is written in C++. Examples that I can think of: Quake, Doom, All GBA games, pretty much every game ever written that is published commericially is written in C++. Its what the proffesionals use. biggrin.gif

So, if I were to download the game, I wouldn't need to download a program to run it?

I am pretty sure they used C++. C# is too slow for games. Its great for business aps that only need to show things slowly, without a lot of user interaction. It make setting up windows very easy. But it doesnt give you nearly as much power as C++.
