So, what are your opinions of Metroid: Other M, now that it's out?

I found it to be a decent game, but severally lacking in that Metroid magic. It feels like it's trying to be too many things at once with all the different types of gameplay. The music is nonexistent. There are many good ideas, but it's plagued with bad game decisions. I don't think I need to mention being authorized to use certain upgrades (*cough*Varia Suit*cough*). Tthe game's WAY too linear for a Metroid title, and the upgrades are worth nothing due to the self recovering / lack of enemy pickups.

I won't rant on, as I'm sure there are reviews out there that say it better than me. GoNintendo's review seems pretty accurate to me. What are your opinions?

I loved Other M. There were a couple of things wrong with it, like what you mentioned, but I still loved it. What I wish they had done differently, was the concentration. I liked how it worked with health. However, I think it would have been much better if your missiles didn't completely regenerate every time you used concentration. Maybe restore 1, or 5, at most. That, by itself, would have turned up the difficulty a bit too much. So, Missile drops should definitely return.
