I've taken a little break. I plan on going to a course for the program I use to compose the music. Once done, I should hopefully have a better idea on how to master my work.
I've got a few ideas for a next song.
- Lower Nofair has been complete, but... I'm not safisfied with it. The problem is, it shouldn't be changed, as it's good as it is. But there's no point of it, due to Kenji's version in MP (Magmoor Caverns).
- I've completed Motherbrain, but again, it needs something to stir it up. As soon as I come up with an introduction to it, and maybe something else to play in the background, I'd say it's good for publishing at least (aka posting on Internet ;>_>).
~~Edit for this: I think I have this song complete, but I have a problem. The file uses all my RAM, so I can't preview any files at all, or it "overloads". And when it freezes, audio files go off synch, unless I play from beginning... but it will keep overloading, no matter what. Anyway, there's a way to pass this problem, but it will take sometime.
- Started on SM Story Theme - sounding great at the start. Working on the middle bit.
- Maridia 2 is on hold, as the instruments I used to make Maridia 1 were screwed up, and I don't want to go through them again. I'll wait till I find a fix.
- Samus Vs. Gandrayda sounds amazing...ly similar to the original. Again, it's not complete, but the direction it's heading, it's going to be Lower Norfair all over again. Except, with really crappy drum sounds. I won't hide the fact, I'm not sure how to make drums sound brilliant. Another thing I hope to learn in this course.
Those are all the templates I was working on at least. I'm trying to aim for an hour's worth of content at least, if not more. The main menu right now is an original composition. I have a feeling I might need to create a few other original pieces, which is fine with me. And of course, all of this is WIP. I'll try and work with Troid on this.
Finally, I think I'll scrap Green Brinstar, or do something with it at least in the future. It just isn't holding itself like the other tracks. I don't want to make pieces that are inferior to the Metroid series' own music. It's why you will rarely see me covering the MP trilogy of music, unless I have to, or rare circumstance (Red Brinstar... which, I mostly covered that off SM's Red Brinstar, and got hella lucky with the instruments, and Samus Aran's Fanfares, etc, which are needed for the game if we're not to use any of Nintendo's material.)
From now on, I suggest simply going here to listen to the latest songs:
