Izzie and Audrey were boy watching. The two girls sat together at the Ravenclaw table, despite the fact that Izzie was probably about the farthest thing from a Ravenclaw. However, the two girls knew better than to drag Audrey over to the Slytherin table. She probably wouldn't have made it out of there alive. The Slytherins had always been a nasty bunch, ever since Salazar Slytherin himself had helped build the school. Audrey had used to say that only the devil's spawn was put in the green-clad house, but over the years she'd learned otherwise. After all, Izzie wasn't so bad at all. Sure, she could be a bitch at times, but she was probably Audrey's best friend, without a doubt. Then there was Shelbee's brother Gavin. He was a pretty good guy most of the time. Then, well, there was Derek, she supposed.

Speaking of Derek, Audrey had decided it was his fault that her lunch was now cold. After all, if he wasn't so pretty, she would have been boy watching more than just one boy. And if she was boy watching more than one boy, she would have kept eating, instead of placing her chin in her hand and forgetting all about her lunch. It wasn't fair. She'd been just fine before he'd decided to show up in the library and completely bother the hell out of her and her hormones. And even then he hadn't even had the decency to give her her damn book. No, of course not. God forbid he did anything nice for once. He'd taken it with him when he'd left, guaranteeing that she'd have to show up in the Room of Requirement the next week. Jerk.

So, in short, there Audrey was, chin in her hand, blue eyes fixed on Derek effing Parker while her best friend's eyes seemed to be changing targets every few seconds. Her eyes should have been doing that. But no. They had to be difficult. He had to be difficult. It was his fault. Completely. She'd have to make sure to hit him next time she got him alone. Letting out a small sigh, Audrey sat up and ran a hand through her long blond hair, turning her attention back over to Izzie. "So, what do you want to do after lunch?" She asked, shoving her plate away from her. Not like she'd even eaten much of hers. Audrey picked up an orange and busied herself with peeling it as she waited for a reply from the girl beside her.

Boy watching. Great past time, really. There was a lot of eye candy at Hogwarts. An ungodly amount of eye candy. Izzie rested her chin on the palm of her hand as she watched the boys around her. Pretty boys, ugly boys, tall boys, short boys, boy, boys, boys. Audrey and Izzie seemed to boy watch, a lot. They used to do on occasion, but now it seemed they did it more regularly. Izzie wasn't complaining or anything but she wondered why that was. She looked over at the Slytherin table and noticed a few glares being thrown her way. She simply smiled sweetly over at them before rolling her brown eyes. Idiots. Sure she was a Slytherin, but she was smart enough to know that though you were in Hufflepuff or Gryffindor, it didn't mean crap. Audrey was her best friend, and they were more alike than any Slytherin she'd ever befriended. So that whole, Slytherins are better then everyone was crap. Crap, crap, crap.

Looking over at the blond haired girl, Izz noticed her gaze had been focused on one boy. This was boy watching. Meaning you looked at more than one boy. Audrey was breaking the rules of boy watching. She followed Aud's eyes to a certain sandy brown haired Slytherin. Derek. Now, Derek wasn't Izzie's type of guy. But, the guy was still pretty cute, she couldn't deny that. Since when had Aud been interested in Derek? That was... new. She watched them for a minute longer, Derek never seemed to look at Aud. Considering how hard Audrey was looking at the seventh year, it was a wonder Derek hadn't noticed yet. Isabelle turned her head to the right and looked down the row at Ravenclaw students. Sometimes Izz thought she might as well have just been adopted by the house, she was at this table enough.

She bit into an apple as she mulled over Aud's question. “Slytherin team is having practice out on the pitch. We could skip Divination and head out there.” Isabelle suggested after looking at her friend. It wasn't like Aud and Izzie skipped classes very often. But Izzie definitely wasn't feeling Divination, so why not skip it and look at pretty boys instead? I mean, they could always use it to say they were studying anatomy. Male anatomy that is. “What do you say Coop? Down for being a Slytherin today?” Izzie raised an eyebrow at her question, grinning.

Popping a piece of her orange into her mouth and tossing the peel back onto her abandoned plate, Audrey nodded. Slytherin team had practice. Derek was beater for Slytherin, wasn't he? Huh. What a coincidence. No, but seriously, Audrey mentally slapped herself for that one. She was bordering on stalkerish tendencies, and she was beginning to weird herself out. Who cared if he was beater? Who cared if he was in Slytherin? Who cared? Not her. Nope, she didn't care. Not one bit. She cared the least you could possibly care about anyone. Meaning she was making progress. Well, at least in her ability to lie to herself, that was.

Divination. Useless. Who cared if someone was going to die the next week, or if someone was going to blow up their aunt like a friggen balloon? Audrey sure didn't. Actually, she would have given someone that did blow up her aunt a nice pat on the back. The woman was annoying as hell and always gave the most slobbery kisses known to mankind. Quidditch on the other hand.... Well, while Audrey didn't usually engage too much in the sport, it was certainly fun to watch. Especially the practices. Audrey tended to like the ground a bit better than the sky however, thanks to a horrible fear of heights that she would probably never be cured of. Even sitting in the stands freaked her out. Why did they have to be so damn high?

"A Slytherin for a day, huh?" The blond raised her eyebrows at her friend, before popping another piece of her orange in her mouth. Once she swallowed, she spoke again. "Tell me more about this idea of yours. What do these Slytherins you speak of do with their time after watching a Quidditch practice?" What did she have after Divination. Oh. Right. Care of Magical Creatures. "While we're at it, I vote I skip COMC too. I'm not in the mood to shove lettuce down a Flobberworm's throat for an hour and a half." Audrey shuddered slightly. She hated Flobberworms. They were slimy and gross and booooring.

“Oh yes, dear friend. A Slytherin for a day.” Izzie repeated, grinning once more. It was about time Audrey lived on the wild side. Then again, when did Izzie and Audrey ever walk on the normal side of things? Like, never. “Oh sweet, innocent, little Ravenclaw. They play with the Qudditch players, of course.” Izzie said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. “Plus, you can totally hit on that pretty Slytherin boy you've been staring at for the past thirty minutes or so. He's not my cup of tea, but hey, he's cute enough.” Izzie shrugged her shoulders as she finished off her apple. She looked around once more, thinking of the afternoon ahead of the two. It was going to be fun.

Izzie laughed at Audrey. “Sure, darling. Anything your little Ravenclaw heart desires. After all, half the fun of being a Slytherin is getting your way.” Izzie winked over at the blond before elbowing her lightly. She ran her fingers through her dark hair. Her brown eyes watched the boys on the Slytherin team begin to get up. “Alright, Aud. It's play time.” Izzie pulled her friend up and out of the Great Hall.

She settled herself down onto the stands, not too far up so the girls could see the boys properly. She pulled Audrey down next to her and watched as the guys and few girls began to climb into the air on their brooms. The practice, for the most part was boring. Isabelle didn't find it all that fascinating. She sighed as she leaned back. “So, the guy you were staring at... Derek, what's your deal with him? Got a little crush?” Izz teased, reaching over to pinch Audrey's cheek lightly. “Like I said, he's not too bad. Not exactly my type, but I know you've got a thing for boys like him. Kind of reminds me of the last guy you dated, Winchester... something.” Izzie shrugged. Like she remembered the name of all the guys Audrey dated. Not that there was a whole lot, just a normal amount she supposed.

Derek sat wit the rest of the quidditch players at the ye ol' Slytherin table. They had practice after this and had all just happened to sit down together. Huh, funny out that worked. His co-beater, Lucas, was seated next to him of course. The two had grown pretty close over the years and were pretty damn good friends. Yup, a Slytherin had friends, shocking as it was. Laughing at a joke someone had thrown out, Derek looked across the room just in time to see Audrey looking away from him. Or from somewhere in his general direction. Nah, he decided it was him. He was allowed to think whatever he wanted to after all. Derek grinned to himself as he went back to his breakfast. After a few failed attempts at stabbing something with his fork, Derek looked down to see that there was no food left on his plate. Oh. That might have been the reason he suspected someone of moving his food around his plate. He contemplated taking more but eventually decided he had already had his fair share of food this morning. Yup, he was good for now.

As soon as everyone finished, they all stood up to make their way down to the pitch. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Izzie stand up from the Ravenclaw table. Along with Cooper. Huh, conicidence? Derek assumed so until he saw them following the team down to the pitch. He made a mental note to make sure to catch them after practice. Hell, he'd even drag Lucas along with him. Why not? What was the harm? Exactly, nothing. Nothing at all. So, he was going to do it. He was also going to keep his eyes off Audrey as much as possible during practice so he didn't get distracted and do something stupid. Like fall off his broom. Or get hit in the head with a bludger.

Practice was passing too slowly for him as all he wanted to do was land on the ground and catch up with Izzie and Audrey. He had seen them together before but hadn't exactly noticed that they were friends before now. Why else would Izzie drag her along to watch the team practice? Missing a hit at an oncoming bludger, Derek swore and swerved to avoid it and get in position to hit it again. Well, second time was the charm he supposed. Finally, practice was over. Derek was one of the first on the ground, the only one ahead of him being Lucas as he had been further down then him. Ah well, didn't matter. "Let's go, man." Derek said as he grabbed onto Lucas' arm and dragged him forward.

"How intriguing." Audrey laughed quietly, finishing off her orange with a last glance towards the Slytherin table. Nearly choking on her orange at Izzie's words, the blond turned her attention back to her friend. "Yeah, you'd say so." She rolled her eyes, smiling slightly. Izzie liked boys. Izzie had always liked boys. It was just the way it was. If she wasn't with Audrey, she was usually with a boy. Audrey had had to drag the girl away from some random guy on numerous occasions throughout the years they'd spent as friends; it was just the way it worked. She dragged Izzie away from the boy, Izzie whined for a few minutes, and then got over it. It was a routine.

Catching her words, Audrey's eyes flashed over to her friend, and then narrowed. "Shut up. I wasn't staring at him. I don't like him. He's... him!" She said quickly, shaking her head. Ha. Her like Derek? As if. That was a nice dream. Was Izz high? "Sure it is." Audrey replied, before getting yanked up off of her seat and dragged out the Great Hall. "Someone's feeling a bit forceful today, I see." She said sarcastically. It was a few minutes before they were up in the stands, and even then Izz was dragging Audrey along like she was a five year old kid sister that had decided to tag along. "No!" The blond said, a bit louder than was probably necessary at the moment. "I don't have a thing for him. No, no, no. He just... stole my book. Practically forced me meet him at the ROR. And don't even think about it, it wasn't like that." She told her friend, elbowing her lightly.

"Landon." Audrey supplied, distracted as her blue eyes followed Derek. ...Was he coming up to the stands? He was, too. And he was dragging his little friend along too. Lovely. Why couldn't he just leave her alone? Not that she honestly wanted him to, but the thought of not having these damn feelings come up every time she looked at him sounded rather nice, now didn't it? Oh shit. He really was coming up there, she realized once they two boys had gotten up to the row she and Izzie were occupying. Damn it all to hell. "Oh, so he needs to bring a friend along now too? How cute." Audrey muttered darkly, pursing her lips as she pinched Izzie in the side. "Behave."

Lucas walked with Derek down to the quidditch pitch after they had finished their breakfast. He had noticed Derek seemed a bit distracted and had been grinning quite a lot. Well, more than he usually did anyway. He intended to find out exactly what had Derek so happy these days. It was certainly surprising since his mum had just died not too long ago. Something definalty had him happy and Luke wanted to know what the hell it was. When they reached the field, he mounted his broom and started practice. It wasn't as if there was really much point in practicing today. They weren't working on anything new. They all has basically just decided they felt like flying and would make it into a practice so they were sure they wouldn't be interrupted by people from other houses. They had two people watching them. That was it. So it was still pretty much a private practice.

When practice was over, he was the first one on the ground. Luke had planned on heading back to the school and figuring out what classes he felt like going to when Derek grabbed his arm and started dragging him somewhere else. "Uh...where are we going exactly?" He asked without expecting an answer. Derek wasn't going to tell him when he'd find out anyway when they got there. He was surprised when they were going up into the stands towards Izzie and that Audrey girl. Did Derek have a thing for Izzie. No, definatly not. Izzie and Derek wasn't something that could ever happen. It just wasn't possible. Audrey? Somehow he doubted it. He supposed he'd find out when they got over to them.

"What's going on, Izzie?" Luke asked when they had reached them. He sat down next to her, glancing a curious glance at Derek as he still didn't know why he had dragged him up here. Then again, he wasn't exactly sure he wanted to know after all. Derek's mind could be a very scary place to be in sometimes. "Cooper." Luke said, nodding in her direction as a hello. He didn't know her well and wasn't about to strike up a conversation when he didn't even know why in the hell they were here in the first place. That and he distinctly remembered some insults he had tossed her way during the past few years and didn't know how she was feeling toward him.

”You like him, don't deny it. I know you better than anyone, Coop. And it's cool, I'll totally put in a good word for you. Oh! Maybe I can set you two up. Oh that could be fun.” Izzie teased. She knew better than that. Audrey would definitely kill her. And what fun would being dead be? Except for the fact she could possibly come back and haunt Aud for the rest of her life. Yeah, that sounded fantastic. Izzie rolled her brown eyes. “Whatever, Coop. But I know you, and I can so tell you're into him. It's totally cool. I'll keep it quiet.” Izzie promised, the sly grin never leaving her face.

Izzie laughed as Audrey patronized Derek. Wasn't that just cute. “Ow.” Izzie hissed as Audrey pinched her. “Come on, Coop. I'm a Slytherin, since when do we ever behave?” Izzie smiled at the two boys as she waved. This would be fun. It was even better than Izzie had thought it would be. She could watch Audrey flirt with Derek then deny it in the end. It was going to be kind of funny, actually. Audrey trying to deny the fact she so obviously had a thing for the Slytherin boy.

Izzie smiled at Luke as he sat beside her. She leaned over so that Audrey, nor Derek would hear her. “Apparently Coop has a thing for Derek, but she's denying it. And I think Derek has a thing for her. They're both going to deny it but eventually, well we all know what happens. They have a big blow out, one thing lead to another, and well...” Izzie trailed off, raising an eyebrow in suggestion. “Then again, I could be completely wrong. The could totally not be into each other.” Izzie shrugged and stole a glance at the pair. “But my money's on the whole... unresolved sexual tension thing.” She grinned a little bit as she looked back at Luke.

Derek grinned at the two girls as he took as seat on the other side of Audrey. He was telling himself that it was only because Luke had already taken the spot next to Izzie but he knew it wasn't true. No one else had to know that though, did they? No. "So, feeling a little adventurous huh, Cooper? Venturing over to the Slytherin side could be dangerous to a little Ravenclaw such as yourself." Alright, so she could probably hold her own when it came to just the Slytherin Quidditch team. That and she had come with Audrey. He had seen Audrey pinch Izzie on his way over and was wondering what it had been for. And what they had been talking about before he and Luke had arrived. Maybe wondering what they had been talking about was bordering on stalker-ish. Oh well, no one had to know he was thinking that. And as long as no one knew, it couldn't be classified as stalker like behavior. Yea...that almost made sense.

Derek wished he had the book with him right now to taunt Audrey with. He knew he could get her riled up again in just a few seconds if he had it. Unfortionatly, it was on his bed in the boys dormitory in the dungeons. Ah well, he could probably find something else to work her up with. It shouldn't be too hard to find something to tick her off with. Hm...it would take some thinking but he'd find it eventually. Why did he want to piss her off again? Derek didn't know. Probably because the look on her face when she was upset was kind of cute. Or because last time it had resulted in her kissing him to get what she wanted. A bit of both was the safe answer.

Seeing Izzie leaning toward Luke, Derek raised a curious eyebrow. What were they talking about? Why were they whispering? Why wasn't he allowed to know? He was allowed to know everything damn it. "Hey, it's not nice to have secrets you two." Derek told them, shooting the two of them a look. What the hell had they been talking about that he couldn't hear? It was probaby something they didn't want Audrey hearing since she was the only one here that wasn't a Slytherin. Yup, that must be it.

"Don't," Audrey moaned, covering her face with her hands. How mean. "I will seriously hit you if you say anything to him. At all. Not like there's anything to say. God, I should get transferred into Slytherin so I can keep an eye on you in the common room." She mumbled. "You better keep it quiet. Or I will seriously kick your ass, Izz. For serious." Audrey poked a finger into her friend's shoulder, giving her a warning look. Not like she honestly thought Izzie would say anything to Derek. No, she wasn't that much of a bitch. The only way Izz would ever tell Derek was if she was really drunk, or something along those lines. ...Shit. When was the next Slytherin party?

"Sanders." Okay, so Derek needed to stop grinning at her like that. It wasn't helping the situation. At all. So he needed to wipe that look right off his face, or she'd do it for him. Oh, yeah, that was right. Someone was gonna get their ass kicked if he didn't stop looking at her like that. At Derek's words, Audrey restrained the urge to snap at him. No. She needed to play nice. If she didn't, this wasn't going to end well. Besides, he'd never really done anything to her, technically, right? Yeah. She could play nice. She could do this. She was Audrey Hazel Cooper. She was the epitome of patience. Patience surrounded her. She was patience. Patience was her middle name. Mhm. That's right.

"Something like that." Audrey murmured in reply, glancing down at the Pitch as the rest of the team headed back to the castle. Once they'd all disappeared from sight, her eyes shifted up to the sky. Anything to avoid his gaze. Anything. Anything at all. Audrey glanced over at Izz and Lucas at Derek's words. She had that look. That damn grin that meant she wasn't behaving. Audrey narrowed her eyes at her friend, before looking back over in Derek's general direction. "So what brings you up here, Parker? Didn't think you'd bothered me enough in the library, so you figured you'd come and finish off?" She paused for a moment. "Or maybe you came to apologize for taking my book. Or maybe you like me a hell of a lot more than you're willing to admit." Audrey raised her eyebrows at the Forbidden Forest. She sure wasn't going to look at him anytime soon.
