Welcome! If you haven't already guessed, Meliora is a classic fantasy roleplay named after the country in which the game takes place. In this fictional land governed by royalty and divinity, there are a variety of races and subcultures. There are some races that are very similar to humans, and some that take on a beast-like appearance.
Some of the citizens have the ability to use magic as mages of the deities or the Athanhaer, a secret guild. Others utilize other talents while enjoying their adventures. There are endless possibilities and opportunities. When creating a character there are many unique options to explore, and you are free to create your own unique adventure as you begin playing. If you're a lover of all things fantasy, you'll probably enjoy your time here. ;)

The Mountain Range
These mysterious mountains form the barrier range that seems to hide Meliora from the neighboring countries. One would be wise to avoid travelling in these mountains without a companion. Many of the paths are overgrown, the mist can be blinding, and the winds are often fierce. The highest peaks are covered in snow.

The White Forest
This forest is composed mainly of beech and birch trees. The light bark gives the forest an airy and light atmosphere while the color of the leaves dictates the color of the light pouring through the canopy. Regardless of the season, this place is a sight to behold. Many of Meliora's elves call this home.

The Dark Forest
There is something evil within this forest, and that is very clear to any who choose to wander through it. Even when the sun is high in the sky, the thick canopies blacken the paths and the overgrown foliage. This forest is home to many drows and vampires.

The Highway
The long and desolate road is the main link to all the major cities and places of Meliora, but it is a dangerous route. Should a person choose to venture such a way alone, they ought to keep their eyes wide open.

River Ganak
This river is the largest in Meliora, cutting through a large part of the continent. It flows down from the mountains and empties into the Sea of Berrenbeck. Many travellers seek a refreshing drink or swim in its crystal clear water.

The Plains
The plains stretch across Meliora. Most of the land is flat with sparse vegetation and wildlife, but some areas are hilly with rocks and tall grasses. Much of this land is used by farmers for grazing or crop, but some remains unfenced, feeding the wild animals.

Here in the center of Meliora lies the focal point of the continent, the Imperial City. This place is the home of the Royal Family and their consort. It has many tall buildings and a diverse population.

The Docks
The docks are situated near the river mouth at the Sea of Berrenbeck. The large, sprawling collection of buildings and warehouses is a dark and somewhat shady place where the hard working dockworkers are the witnesses of the underhand dealings that happen here. There is also a nicer section farther inland where the business owners reside.

The Southern Shore
At the southern edge of Meliora, the temperature is hot and the air is humid. The view is beautiful with the faintest smudge of green resting on a horizon of bright blue water. When the winds grace the shore, it is a cool place to escape from one's troubles.

Hyrai
Underneath the shadow of Meloria's biggest volcano, lays Hyrai, a thriving farming town set amongst the ruins of a large city wiped out by a volcanic eruption which occured around the time of Aikanaro's death. Now a new generation of people live there. The largest building is the temple of the Fire God, Sylus, who once protected the city. It is now without a deity following Sylus' disappearance.

Y'landara
This city lies in the center of a vast, dry plain as it always has done since Khora was the Goddess of Fate. The city itself is abandoned and is cut in two by a large ravine that runs through the middle. The only thing not run-down is the temple; the only thing the new God of Fate, Calixto, can be bothered to waste his energy on. Now the Goddess Khora is no longer guarding the city, and Calixto couldn't care less what happens to it, lots of strange... things find their way here, not all of them good.

Uuranor
The city of Uuranor is situated where it can catch the most sun throughout the day. The streets are elaborate and wide, giving a feeling of openness that easily accomodates the busy crowds. The city is built of marble and is under the trusty defense of Kelrian, the God of Day.

Enchanted and enslaved to the darkness, the silvery forest grows bigger yet, feasting under the constant moonlight. It is rumored that upon entering, the darkness in peoples hearts dominate the will and turn even the most optimistic traveler weary. It is split distinctly in two parts, and you're destined to find many creatures roaming the eternal darkness. Enter cautiously however, for one must ask themselves first, "What will I become in the dark?".

Liresul
Surrounded by silver spires, one peak reaches into the heavens. The northern side of the mountain bathes in light. The south drowns in the shadow of the mountain. Dotted in buildings and cut into levels, the mountain city Liresul looks more like a carefully designed fortress than a mountain. Liresul is home to many races: Elves, humans, banshees, and the occasional harpy. . . all protected by the Goddess of Air, Venea.

Charden
An ageless city sits amidst the swaying grasses and warm wind of the plains. Its beginning is untold and its end has yet to be, though ruins are slowly being reclaimed by the meadow around its edges. It is a wall of sorts, of almost barren ground that was once the bustling outskirts. The city is shrinking.
Since her coming to power, Amaranth, the Goddess of Time, has allowed her element to reclaim its path and it has done so with a vengeance. Somehow, things must catch up with the present. Time must take its toll, but it has been gentle. Ghosts do still wander the ruins as though everything was the same.

Talafen
-A sprawling city, bounded only by the massive crater in which it lies, Talafen, City of the Earth, is a city of many distinct cultural and physical elements. The whole city has an air of life to it, apart from a few, distinct areas, partly caused by the liberal amounts of vegetation that have been sprinkled across the city. Talafen’s buildings are mostly constructed of the High Gothic style, and liberally use the granite, basalt, and marble that is so common throughout the crater, and which is, for the people, a sign of connection with their God-Protector, Valen.
