Paradise Kiss comes out on DVD on the 26th. Just nine more days. Hopefully it won't be long afterwards that it will be subbed. It did really well in the Japanese Box Office (debuted at 2nd) so I have high hopes for it.

Well, Paradise Kiss came out on DVD today and surprisingly got subbed the same day. It was around noon here, which would be about 5:00 am in Japan, making it about the quickest subbed movie I've seen. Anyways, I saw the movie. The supporting cast are a few oddball characters (no offense intended to anyone), but were still likable. Visuals were really good, and you can tell that it was made by Warner Bros. And of course, Keiko was awesome. Good movie overall. It's depressing that it's already available online before my DVD has even reached my home.
There must be English subtitles on the DVD for the main movie, because the softsubs have a few leftover OCR errors. (Like "shouIdn't" instead of "shouldn't".) Pity they often forget to list such things on Amazon, CD Japan, etc. It's as if they don't want us to buy them. I'm going to have to make a "Hey, it has English subs!" page again like I did for Buzzer Beat. (That got BB at least one more sale.)

I can understand. I also find it depressing that the subtitles came out so quick for this movie (maybe DVD rips) and yet there's still no subtitles for one of Keiko's other movies, Hana no Ato, that I've been dying to see.

As I've said above, it's a blockbuster, hence it's likely that it'd be subbed. ;)

^ I knew Paradise Kiss was going to get subbed. That's not what I'm complaining about. I'm glad it was and subbed so quickly. My issue is about Hana no Ato still not being subbed by some fansub group. Hana no Ato did pretty well in the box office as well (although not as good as Paradise Kiss). Everything else that Keiko has been in since Mop Girl (both dramas and movies) has gotten subs. :(
As for the pic, yeah I probably could have made a better pic. The scene itself is pretty good though.

I watched the movie yesterday and I think that it was really enjoyable. It would have been more enjoyable with a different ending because that guy is a creep and I didn't like him but... it's Yukari's choice, I guess. :P
