I learned today that Google Trends has expanded into Japan. This means that we can now look up the search statistics of our favourites. After we lost the Yahoo blog visitor data we now have some measure of Keiko's popularity again. One thing is different, though, this search data shows momentary interest by the general public, not continued interest by fans. (Fans don't need to search, they already know where to look.) Sailor senshi comparison: Miyuu + Keiko + Ayaka + Mew(The colours are almost correct.) To put this in perspective: Senshi + Nagasawa MasamiI guess the first big peak in Keiko's graph is the news that she got a role in Tokyo Drift. All the other peaks are easy to place.

intense! lol---nice graph work! good to put it next to nagasawa to compare otherwise it would be easy to get the wrong idea about how popular keiko's blog is. 2007-2008 has definitely been the love years. looking forward to more of those to come!

WOW! At that time she was far less famous than now. It's hard to imagine what it is like with her new blog. Could you investigate again about how many people are visiting her new blog per day now?

Yet another good meter (it's not that different to financial analysts / economists reading graphs/data & surgeons checking readings from instruments during operations lol). Those "readings" confirm w/ what I'd expect. :) And sooner or later you might find yourself needing to compare her w/ bigger & bigger artists other than Masami. ;)

Sorry, but the only way to get that data is to break into Stardust's computers. I don't think they'd appreciate that. I wonder if I can find a source for mixi discussion group subscriber numbers somewhere. But I probably need a mixi account for that, which is impossible. So Google Trends will have to do for now. Handsome Suit: Tanihara Shousuke, Keiko, Sada Mayumi, Tsukaji Muga (2008 only) Shows why they made Keiko hop all over Japan. Also shows that Google Trends doesn't tell you everything, because I can't believe Tanihara and Tsukaji are that impopular, people simply don't feel the need to search for their names much. The news outlets (graph below) do know they exist. You can't compare dissimilar people. Impact of Erika's little stunt: Sawajiri Erika, Nagasawa Masami, Ueto Aya

:D Actually, as I recall it's the second time Venusayaka requests for that here. lol

Like any other good "meters," it mustn't be read alone - an economist/econometrician won't look at just one type of data, nor will a physician. :)
