Nice!
I like how Channel describe themselves:
"Minicomi edited, published and produced by Japan's sole remaining student idol research group"

Just finished translation the latest 17 material that hasn't been posted here yet so I'm just waiting for the thread before posting that now another article, oh boy. Hehe.
Gimme a day, I got some translation work I get paid for to finish first :P
*collapses*

Sorry I didn't let you know about it earlier... she sent me a pm telling me she did it but I knocked out soon after.... :P its awesome stuff isn't it?...lol
sawai fan - August 18, 2006 10:17 PM (GMT)
Its quite funny in places. Especially with the interviewer poking fun at kobe because keiko can't adjust to tokyo
Karyuudan - August 18, 2006 11:17 PM (GMT)
I don't even try to translate if its kanji heavy... I dunno I can take the effort but ti would be hard with for me without a proper giant kanji dictionary.
but htat makes it interesting... can't wait to hear more about it...

Believe me when I say I'm burnt out right now. I thought I'd do it today but couldn't be bothered. The article isn't even complete, I got through reading it and he asks a question and there's no answer to it. Maybe if it was an article of a star I really liked I might find the enthusiasm but right now I'm in one of my can't be arsed moods.
People do ask for translation and well nobody else can do magazines one here, well other then dchart but he'll have a pissy fit and go into a sulk because its 'copywrited' material, gee, wtf, did your books sell that bad or something. I am tired and feel pressured.
Karyuudan - August 20, 2006 02:19 AM (GMT)
Well I think what is shown is mostly for hte picture the article probably goes into the other page but no one has it.... so I don't think you shouldn't worry about it if it is cut off... no stress on you man
sawai fan - August 20, 2006 02:26 AM (GMT)
I made it clear to people I'm far from perfect, I'm still young in the business. I screw up all the time. My translations are no where near perfect so I feel like throwing these articles at some guy 20 years older then me who's been doing it a lot longer then me and say 'you do them' but I can't.
I like the blogs, the blog are cool. The problem is the articles are mostly crap. I translate an article of keiko telling you how to improve your make up skills, you realise how boring that printed '17' nonsense is. Its boring vanity, when I read over the translation I think to myself 'who the hell wants to read this crap anyway'.
When you have a target audience of like 10 people reading it aswell then it doesn't justify the 2 hours writing it up. I wonder whether I've made a mistake taking on the article translation.
Karyuudan - August 20, 2006 02:31 AM (GMT)
goment... I typo'd and forgot he n't you shouldn't worry about it...gomen gomen... I know what you mean sometimes the articles don't have much to it... don't worry..... don't worry.... again I hate my typos....hate um
sawai fan - August 20, 2006 02:39 AM (GMT)
It's okay, never noticed the typo anyway I'm just having a ramble
I never know how to deal with something I'm not sure about. Can you imagine if you were fan subbing something and subbed most of it but for a few lines you wrote 'not sure about this bit'. Can you imagine how dumb that would make you feel.
I read the interview article understood most of it but there were a couple bits with the questions that I'm not sure on. I don't know how to handle it, do I BS my way through it hoping no one will notice which I don't want to do. Do I try and guess or write what I think it correct or do I just put 'sorry ain't got no damn clue'. That is so frustrating because I could say hey I can 'guarantee 95% of this is correct but the other 5% take with a pinch of salt'. That makes me feels dumb.
So yeah I'm frustrated because I not sure what to do in moments when I'm really not sure and with no one helping it's a pain. I need a more experienced shoulder to cry on at times.
I'm also drunk so excuse the rambling but I'm in a really foul mood for some reason because of this and feel like smashing something up
Karyuudan - August 20, 2006 03:01 AM (GMT)
Aww I understand SF, when I'm translating stuff I'm like that al lthe time, whether for here or for school, especially when my teachers are really stuck up about it and say oh its not this its this, and essentially its the same thing just with the sentence a little more japanese in writing form than in english... and a little bit of drunkenness goes a long way I guess eh SF... but you know I'm grateful for all your help, thats for sure... if your's is 95 with 5 salt I'm running like 60 40...so ya...don't feel bad in the least.
love,keiko - August 20, 2006 07:05 PM (GMT)
 oh my my. gomen gomen gomenasai! i didn't know it was such a headache for you!
i'm not one to let ppl i like stay in pissy moods so let's put it like this: who cares if you're unsure? it's through this "unsure-ness" that you hone your translation skills. think of the translating as "practice." hey, you're doing a hella lot better than me and guess what ppl APPRECIATE IT! they really do! maybe i shouldn't speak for others so i'll just say that I REALLY DO appreciate it!
don't ever feel you have to translate anything for us if you really don't want to. who's going to hate you for it? i thought you didn't mind, that's why you did them and that's why i keep asking. if you need a break no, biggy, i understand. now stop being drunk, sober up, have something nice to drink (non-alcoholic) and watch a comedy movie like the wedding crashers or something. regardless of age unhappiness is not good for the body! lol
doctor sade over and out.
