I don't know, there were many drummers out there that are even better than him. For Example: Phil Collins.

Moon from the who is really good too. That guy is incedible. Mitchell is good though.

I would mark Moon and Mitchell the same in my eyes. They are both gifted. But the reason I like Mitchell so much, is that he could shine even though hendrix was taking over LOL.

His ability to improvise and actually come up with drum beats to Hendrix's complex lines blows my mind. He truly is one of the best drummers out there.
