they're holding auditions for Hairspray here in New York and i want to audition but the actual prodution is in New Hampshire and it's a 4 hours drive. Rehersals are in Manhattan. I just don't know if i should audition for it.

well, it just depends when you need to make those four hour drives there and back. that is roughly right hours of travel without the infamous new york traffic factored in. you have school and work too.

still. rehearsals aren't going to be an hour or two. it's going to be a long process. maybe if you took the semester off of school and just focused on that it would work. but then you wouldn't be graduating.

Yeah but i want my degree to be able to actually teach somewhere else. And no where will even look at my resume or anything without at least a bachelor's degree.

frankly, i don't think you should look for another job. if you want a good resume quitting nypaa isn't what you want on there. you'll look like an idiot. this is one of the most prestigious performing arts high schools out there.

I know it is. But i've got something in my life now that could end up getting me fired. And applying for jobs while working still looks better than getting fired. And i'm looking at other places like Julliard or AADA...
