Sarai stood up, wondering if she'd only managed to upset him further. He hadn't been able to meet her eyes....somehow, that upset her. It made her feel she had done something wrong. Of course, many things made her feel that way, perfectionist that she was.
She nodded at his query.
"Yes, of course."
Turning to her confederates, she added,
"Found out what he knows?"
At a response in the affirmative she indicated the door.
"Good. Let's go, then."
The men grunted assent and got up and went to flank her.
