[Sarai Trevane]

Sarai hid a smirk behind her hand as Sephiroth fairly snatched the clothes from her. Apparently he was colder than she'd guessed. Naturally she turned to give him some privacy, only turning back when he said he was decent.

Immediately the childish helplessness and frustration in his eyes melted her. She went to his side, kneeling for beter access to the shoes. She made certain to tie them tightly enough that they wouldn't slip off or trip him, but not so much so that he couldn't get them off later. Before getting to her feet she laid her hand atop his own, larger one, looking into those stunning green eyes.

"It will come back to you. Just give it time."

Sephiroth looked back into her eyes but he soon looked away; the shame was just too much from him and he couldn't meet her gaze any longer. What had happened to him? He'd gone from being one of the strongest, most able men in the world to a pathetic mess who couldn't even tie his own laces. He could feel his eyes filling with tears again but he blinked them back, not wanting to appear any weaker that he was already.

He pulled himself to his feet again and walked to the door, wanting to get out of here as fast as possible. He nodded a farewell to the boys who had brought him here, then turned back to face Sarai.

"Can we go now?" he asked, not in a rude way - simply innocent.

Sarai stood up, wondering if she'd only managed to upset him further. He hadn't been able to meet her eyes....somehow, that upset her. It made her feel she had done something wrong. Of course, many things made her feel that way, perfectionist that she was.

She nodded at his query.

"Yes, of course."

Turning to her confederates, she added,

"Found out what he knows?"

At a response in the affirmative she indicated the door.

"Good. Let's go, then."

The men grunted assent and got up and went to flank her.
