Appearance:

Tseng is built like a tank, tall and broad-shouldered. His hair is black, straight and falls slightly past his shoulders; it is usually slicked back harshly to reveal the tilak-like marking on his forehead. His eyes are deep-set and light brown in color. Though he rarely smiles--as he says there is rarely reason to smile--his smile has been described as 'gorgeous'.

Personality:
To others, Tseng might appear to be the exception to that old saw that no man is an island. He says little, and is close to few. He has an air of quiet amusement about him, as though he knows something others don't. It can be slightly off-putting to those who don't know him well. Those who do know him, know that despite the aloof veneer he has a sensitive side. He can be very gentle when the situation calls for it. He is a very loving, passionate person, though few ever see that in him. His ready intellect, stern professionalism and aura of soft-spoken command make him a natural-born leader. He tends to be one of the cooler heads in a crisis, unless said crisis involves one of the few he holds dear. Then he is just as likely as anyone to break down, loathe as he might be to admit it. He is gay, and comfortable with that fact, and also secretly deeply in love with Reno-- though he hasn't been able to admit to it for fear of being rejected. He simply couldn't bear that. That is his worse fear--failure or rejection in any aspect.

History:
His parents are from Wutai, but moved to Junon shortly after their wedding. He was raised there. He has a degree in Russian and a Master's in history. He originally applied for a menial administration position with Shinra Electric Power, until he could find something better. However, much to his surprise he was offered a position with the Turks--which he accepted.
