the relationship threads. come on in to create a network of friends and enemies for your character.

get involved. sign your character up for clubs, activities or even a journal to record their most intimate thoughts. you don't want to become another nameless face.

contact your friends in or out of class. just don't get caught if you decide to throw notes across the classroom.

these are used to document your character's life and the lives of their friends and family. add pictures, diary entries, whatever you'd like to truly get into your character's head.

here you can request certain relationships for your character. others will read your thread and, if they have an idea for a relationship between your character and theirs, they will reply.

this is an in-character chatbox. please use a screename that incorporates your character's name so that confusion is kept to a minimum.

located in this forum is everything underground, below the castle. it's dank and dark, and there's relatively no light, but you'll find many interesting things down there.

this is the base of the castle. upon first entering the castle, these rooms will be what immediately come into sight. most of your time spent on this floor will be for meals and mail delivery.

the first floor of the castle. up one flight of stairs, and you will find these rooms. if you are a rather clumsy or thrill-seeking student, much of your time will be spent on this floor, under the supervision of hogwarts' nurse, madame pomfrey.

the second floor of the castle. a popular location for detentions. don't aggravate professor mcgonagall or you'll be spending your saturday polishing that silver until your muscles ache.

the third floor of the castle. if you're a diligent student, you may spend a lot of time on this floor, looking through the library. if not, you still may spend a lot of time on this floor, gossiping and spreading rumors in the girls' bathroom.

the fourth floor of the castle. a rather boring floor, unless you enjoy the company of miserable, moaning myrtle, or you're a male with a weak bladder.

the fifth floor of the castle. there's not really much to do here unless you're a prefect. if you are a member of that elite club, you'll likely visit this floor rather often, seeing as it's only the nicest bathroom in a hundred mile radius.

the sixth floor of the castle. lots and lots of empty, unoccupied space. there's no point in coming alone unless you want to concentrate on your studies, so do yourself a favor and bring some company.

the seventh floor of the castle. this is the top of the line unless you're off to the towers. it's a rather neat place, really, if you know where the secret door is. if not, you can venture into one of the empty classrooms to practice your bat bogey hex.

the very top of the castle. the destination of many astronomy enthusiasts and love-struck teenagers. oh, and you'll also find the gryffindor and ravenclaw dormitories up here, among the clouds. it's a nice view, as long as you don't look down.

everything surrounding the castle. the grounds are a truly beautiful sight, and there's much to explore. when the sun is out, the grounds truly come alive, and it's impossible to stay cooped up inside, no matter how heavy of a workload you happen to have.

a shop that sells and repairs magical equipment, located near the end of the high street.

a clothier, with additional shops in london and paris. among other things, you can buy strange socks there.

a small inn in Hogsmeade, on a side street off the main street, much dirtier (and attracting a more, er, interesting, clientele) than the three broomsticks. the bar consists of a single small, dirty room smelling strongly of something that might be goats; while students are permitted to go in, they're advised to bring their own glasses. it's something of a fashion to hide one's face in the hog's head, by wearing a hood or veil.

the station, where the hogwarts express ends its journey north from platform 9 3/4, is located near the lake. a road extends from the train station around the lake to hogwarts castle. the station is actually quite a distance from the town itself, being on the opposite side of the hogwarts grounds.

a sweetshop, owned by ambrosius flume and his wife, who live over the shop; an entrance to one of the secret tunnels from hogwarts is in the cellar under a trap door. honeydukes not only sells a wide variety of sweets, they also make their own fudge and enormous blocks of chocolate.

a small, cramped tea shop with decor on the tacky side of frilly, filled with small circular tables, located on a side street off the high street; the only hogwarts students who seem to patronize the place are trysting couples. the owner uses a revoltingly sappy decor for valentine's day (floating golden cherubs occasionally throwing pink confetti).

located on the high street. here, students not possessing an owl may mail their letters to wherever they please.

reputed to be the most haunted house in britain, the shrieking shack gets its name from the terrifying screams and noises heard coming from it. the windows are completely boarded up. outside the house is a dank, overgrown garden. the entrances are all sealed.

a great spot to drink butterbeer, although they also serve gillywater, mulled mead, red currant rum, and even cherry syrup and soda with ice and an umbrella. there are tables, booths, and a mirror over the bar.

zonko's is a favourite place for hogwarts students to shop. any joke items purchased at this shop must be kept hidden from hogwarts caretaker, or they will be confiscated immediately and never returned.

here are the games you can play while in character. it's a good way to get to know your character, to build relationships with other characters, and to have fun as well!

here you can introduce yourself, post an absence notice, tell the members about a site you find funny, or talk about whatever your little heart desires. it's out of character, so just be yourself.

here is where all the inactive/finished threads and denied applications are kept. they will not be deleted unless the creator of the thread requests it.

plot pages will not be returned to you. the reason for this is that some characters who have posted on your page may not return. they will not be deleted, though, so you will be able to get your coding back as well as the histories you posted in other characters' plots.

these may or may not be returned to you. it's entirely up to you, and if you want your page back (rather than setting up a new one for the new members that join), take a look at the most recent announcement for instructions.
