You say you are a Christian

Yet, you insist upon gossiping

You say you are forgiven

Yet, you still do not see



You say you are a Christian

Yet, you do not understand how

You say you read the Bible

Yet, you say “just not right now”



You say you are a Christian

Yet, you do not confess

You say you are “open”

But, have your friends heard of Him yet?



You say you are a Christian

Yet, you curse when you stub your toe

You say you are “one with God”

Yet, you donÂ’t talk with Him alone



You say you are a Christian

Yet, you walk beside no one

You donÂ’t follow in his footsteps

Because your friends are “so much fun”



What happens when you lose

All the people you hold dear?

Will you crawl back to God

Or will you reject Him with fear?



Although your actions may have

Been silly and grotesque

God will always love you

Whether or not you love Him back



So, if you claim to be

A Christian all your life

Make sure you understand

What it means to sacrifice
