I wonder if it's possible to include in the proxy settings (when creating a new proxy) the user name and password to authenticate with the proxy (when needed)??
Thanx
David

I think you can use the format:

username:password@host.com

but I've not tried it. Use whatever the format is for Firefox to use such proxies without FoxyProxy... it's the same

Sorry, I'm not that good in this sort of things, so, maybe i didn't explained what is happening to me in the correct way.
I surf the web at work, using a LAN and under a proxy.
Usually, my connection settings in Firefox don't specify username and password for the proxy, instead of that, a dialog will ask you to enter those.
What I want to do is:
Use the same proxy but with different users depending on the url pattern.
can I do that?
thanks
David

Hi,

I don't know. I need a proxy with authentication against which I can test. Do you know how I can configure one?

Eric
