Yep, your request is very low priority for me. There are many features I'm trying to add first. I wouldn't expect it anytime soon.

sad.gif sad that lots of Debian Linux users left behind, especially that packaging sources is just a 1-2 minute job.

also let me note that unavailability of the source (not obscured but valid derivative of it) is a violation of GPL license but whoe cares of cause... I am wondering how mozilla people confirm that your application is not full of spy/crap-ware if they can't even see what the heck it is doing internally

have a good weekend.

yarikoptic,
sometimes I wonder why you don't simply run a beautifier over the code as it is.
Then do your edits and "unbeautify" (e. g. by using a small "stripper" program afterwards).
Maybe this will keep both of you happy for the time until Eric manages to put the "unstripped" sources somewhere (like sourceforge.net).
Just my 2 cents.
By the way, there is not much code where I would consider reformatting a derivative work (in the sense of it being a work)....

Well, if there was the one which would provide 1-to-1 mapping back and forward than may be. I've tried astyle and although it made code somewhat readable, it remained hard to comprehend. Besides that, I guess, there might be some useful comments in the code which could have been stripped out, etc

Here is a quote from GPL license about what is the source code:
QUOTE

The source code for a work means the preferred form of the work for making modifications to it.

I doubt that Eric modifies the unindented code wink.gif

Since Eric is the author, he is free to distribute his work under any license he like, by taking GPL though, and not providing proper source, he is effectively making it hard for anyone besides him to modify/distribute it under GPL license, due to impossibility to fulfill source code availability requirement, unless, I guess, you beatify all the code to the degree so it becomes 'modifyable' code.

As for public VC repository, there is already one provided for foxyproxy by mozdev
http://www.mozdev.org/source/browse/foxyproxy
but all the sources present there are formatting-stripped as well unfortunately

If you are referring to the hosting of FoxyProxy on addons.mozilla.org, then I don't think you understand addons.mozilla.org. The people there do not perform code reviews. In fact, there are many addons listed there which are entirely closed-source--there is no way to review code for such extensions.
