Maybe I'm being stupid but I can't see how to configure a pattern to not use any of my defined proxies, i.e. use a direct connection to the Internet.

For example, say I want *.foo.com to go through proxy FOOPROXY, but I want all other URLs to use my direct connection to the Internet. Setting up FOOPROXY is easy but how do I accomplish the 2nd bit, i.e. the direction connection for everything else?

Currently, direct connection is used for anything not covered by your patterns. Next release you'll be able to explicitly define blacklists (exclusion patterns) in addition to the whitelists you define today.
